I lurked for two years or so before signing up to the FRee Republic, and I lurked some more before I cautiously posted a response to an existing thread. Then I did that for quite a while longer: it was at least a year before I posted my first thread. And even longer before I posted my first Vanity.
My first Vanity didn’t pretend to tell FReepers what to do or not to do, or talk about their Credibility.
IMO you should lurk a while longer, build some credibility.
Until then...
IBTZ!
Not only were you the perfect newb, you’re also clairvoyant! How fortunate am I (no pun) to have met someone who knows how long I have known and read a variety of topics on FR.
I wouldn’t know about the Threat Matrix thread. I wouldn’t know about the Sunday Night Drudge thread which was canceled about a year and half ago that was hostessed by lainie.
The gentleman who wrote the DragonFury series of novels. The Giuliani purges. I’ve been around here quite some time. I understand the protocols.

You had much more restraint than I! I stumbled upon FR accidentally (it was fate), immediately joined, and started replying - hooked from the very start! It’s been good for my soul :-))))
