Christmas is going to be BIG in our house this year! We thank God for the birth of our first child. This really is the best Christmas ever.

Actually, Christians celebrate Advent. It’s not a holiday; it’s a season.

The whole get-Christianity-out-of-sight "movement" just proves how stupid these people are.

As fragile as peace is and has been over the last 2000 years, it is Christianity which has made it possible for people to even exist together.

The Christian haters, if they are successful, will not like the results...not even a little bit.

December 25th is just a ' Holiday '

Yes, it is a Holy-Day (the origin of the word Holiday.) I have a little different approach. Maybe instead of obsession on what words people use, we look in the mirror and start putting the Christmas back in Christ. What is more of an assault on our faith, someone saying Happy Holiday or us letting Christmas turn into cheap, plastic, tacky circus that modern culture has made it. Let's make it a Holy Day again.

Don't scold someone for saying Happy Holy-days when you're in line at Target with your arms full of blinking lights, plastic holly, Blu-Ray players, and Barbra Streisand Christmas CDs.

I took the liberty of enhancing your original. I hope you don’t mind...

We Need CHRISTMAS BACK

Twas the month before Christmas, when all through our land,

Not a Christian was praying nor taking a stand.

See, the P.C. Police had then taken away—the true reason for Christmas so no one could say.

The children were told by their schools not to sing... about shepherds and wise men and angels and things.

“It might hurt people’s feelings,” the teachers would say. “The 25th of December is just a holiday.”

Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit. Pushing folks with their lists to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Madonna, an X-Box or iPod...something had changed...it was something quite odd.

Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa in hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

As Target was hanging their trees upside down, at Lowe’s, the word “Christmas” nowhere to be found.

At K-Mart and Staples and Penny’s and Sears, you don’t hear “Merry Christmas”; it will not touch your ears.

“Inclusive” and “tolerant” and “di-ver-si-ty”...are the words that they use to intimidate me.

Now Daschle, now Darden, now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen. On Boxer, Pelosi, Obama and Clinton!

At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter, to eliminate Jesus in all public matter.

And we spoke not a word, as they took away faith. Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.

The true meaning of Christmas, exchanged and discarded. The hearts of the next generation was hardened.

Through judicial fiat and government censure, the day had become just a commercial venture.

Our grandchildren—molded by words in textbooks—greet the lessons of Jesus with curious looks.

All reference to God or disciples or saints, were considered offensive or at very least quaint.

Any semblance of faith or regard for religion had flown from our culture like the flight of a pigeon.

When we ceded our church to the government purge, we saw every matter of evil emerge.

With the social rejection of every taboo, excess and indulgence was seen normal to do.

And having removed any righteous foundation, we witnessed the end of our once-godly nation.

Just because some of us had a “right” to be thrilled, the day of atonement was finally fulfilled.

Looking back on just where we had started to drift, it was clear we had squandered a generous gift.

While appeasing our flesh by ignoring His code, we were turning our backs on the gift He’d bestowed.

Not the kind that you purchase on sale at the mall, but the one that we find is most precious of all.

The peace that we seek which is born from within, is redeemed through salvation and forgiveness of sin.

That was what we were offered, but frittered away. All because we were selfish and wanted our way.

As we trace our downfall and follies of man, the destruction of Christmas was where it began.

We had shed our own right to profess our conviction, in the interests of calm; to avoid any friction.

Instead of confronting the forces at hand, we sang “Kumbaya” and refused to demand.

When we idly let them dispose of our Lord, we were throwing away our eternal reward.

Is it too late to hold back the tide of corruption? Not if voices will scream in a holy eruption!

DON’T LET all the Scrooges remove our tradition! Spread the word now that we’re on a great mission.

Dash away, dash away into the malls. Write to your Congressmen in marbled halls.

Let each public servant be shown our resolve. We’ll no longer stand by and see Christmas dissolve.

We’re fed up with organized efforts to change. Our faith and beliefs you may not rearrange!

We will fight to uphold and preserve our own roots. Enough of your foolish ACLU suits!

It just will not happen without intervening. The 25th day of December has meaning!

This biblical message you want to destroy, will NOT be discarded like last Christmas’ toy.

Away in a manger so long, long ago... a savior was born for EACH PERSON, you know.

He lived and he taught and he died on the cross. And over these facts you may no longer gloss.

We celebrate gleefully this time each year. He’s the purpose for all of the joy and good cheer.

So dump “Winter Break” ‘round your “Holiday Tree”, and sipping your Starbucks, you listen to me.

It’s time to take back what’s been ours all along. Let everyone know it through scripture and song.

We’ll not stand for just any old “solstice” or “season.” The birth of sweet Jesus will be known as the reason.

So boldly proclaim as you’re out and about. Why we bless this occasion, let there be no doubt.

Choose your greetings with care, here is what you should say: shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday!
