Bush has pretty much said he was wrong about WMD in Iraq...., so if the President and leader of our own Republican Party says that, you’re not going to get much traction out of the idea... LOL...

What Bush did wrong was ever letting the WMD question become the overrated idea of the invasion. The reason we went to war with Iraq was Bush 41 had a cease fire with Saddam, and he consistently violated it. The UN had 17 resolutions warning Saddam of dire consequences if he didn't follow the terms of the cease fire and the Congress backed Bush up with a vote. WMD’s were thought to have been in Iraq but Saddam threw the UN lookers out. Clinton did nothing about it, he did nothing about the first World Trade Center bombing, The 2 African embassy bombings, and finally, an attack on an American warship was left unanswered.

The question of WMD's was just a portion of the excuse to CONTINUE the previous war named Desert Storm. Everyone knew Saddam had Chemical weapons and was working on Biologicals. We also KNEW he had gotten yellowcake from Africa. After the war was under control, we removed 500 tons of yellowcake from Iraq. Scooter Libbey was right and so was the Bush administration, but you ask the average guy on the street, they think Libby lied and Bush is a liar.

Whether we found atomic weapons by the basket, or Chemical warheads by the bushel, is irrelevant. The UN inspectors were out and Saddam was shooting at our planes daily. The war isn't illegal, it was voted on and approved by the likes of Hillary and John Kerry. The language of the bills voted on left nothing to the imaginations and now they are wiggling trying to figure away to void their vote. Bush was accused of being a "cowboy", but he went to the UN and congress for approval of everything he did. Bush didn't have a problem with what he did, but a problem with the propaganda wing of the 5th estate. Bush has spent 2 terms hiding under the desk from these people with no defense on his part. You can't fight a war with no ammo and refusing to fight.

I'm sure someone somewhere down the road will give a timeline of all this, but most Americans will just remember what the NYTimes told them to think.
