"Thomas Paine, author of "Common Sense," returns to modern times to plea for a second revolution to take back America, Now!"
(Excerpt) Read more at clipser.com ...
My honest opinion is that we’re going to have that second revolution. My sadness is that I’m no longer a young buck capable of providing much help.
More average Americans now enjoy so many government (read taxpayer funded) perks that they are unlikely to willingly give them up to force a revolution even in their own local governments!
I’m not the young buck that I used to be...but if we need to rock and roll.....I’ll do my part!
The video is not about violence, it’s abour pressure on our leaders. Tell them “Do what we say, or get their collective asses thrown out of office.”
The revolution will come when the money to pay for the perks is not there any longer.
We’d be better off telling the government and those that have blind faith in it to go screw themselves and seceding.
We get the chance to start anew, give Big Brother little to no justification to clamp down harder, and those who helped bring about this disaster we’re in will, for once, not benefit from the fruit of someone else’s labor.
“The revolution will come when the money to pay for the perks is not there any longer.”
Yeah, but they’ll be revolting for the wrong reasons then.
You have a good point. Here in California I’m anticipating big problems with its finances.
Paine was right then and is, unfortunately, right now. Our rights and liberties will continue to be trampled until the American people stand up and say no more. It will entail the removal of leftist politicians from office, leftist judges from courts, a rewrite of countless PC laws and regulations-—in short, freedom returned to the individual. And the place to start will be Washington, DC. Millions will have to literally descend upon the Capital, the Supreme Court and the White House, remove the occupants and begin again.
Ping.
You’re right. Once the government starts sending out checks — except to military veterans — it’s all over.
And the only way a revolution will ever occur in America is if the government stops sending out checks.
This just bolsters my contention that what is now the Untied States may well be sundered into several smaller republics, a new balkanization because of regional differences that turn out to be irreconcilable. What has the northeast corner of the US have in common with the Middle South? Or the Dakotas?
Look at the map of the red and blue counties of the US. Then ask yourself if any contiguous map could be drawn that would equitably divide them.
I fear we’ve already become balkanized, but in ideology rather than geography.
It already isn't, thanks to how much has ALREADY been paid in bribes-for-votes, reward-your-friends, pay-for-my-$1,000,000-per-year-do-nothing lobbying job, and assorted other programs passed by our Congress and signed into law by our irresponsible so-called Presidents. The die is cast - we're broke. It is now a game of musical chairs, with only about 6 chairs for 50 people.
Keep dreaming. There comes a time when the brother so determined to defend his sister's honor has to face the fact that the reason so many guys are chasing her is because she's a skank. Or in this case, the "we" is the skank. If it was that easy to get "we" all going in the same direction, it would have been done already.
I am familiar with exactly zero cases of established ruling orders dissolving without violence.
...an astute observation.
It must be starting in California about now.
Amen...two completely different 'countries'. I'll take the Middle South any day...
