It is still not too late. She should seek out such a venue and attack all of the energy assumptions of the Obama position. In this financial climate she will find a receptive audience. The country is not about to go marching into bankruptcy to satisfy the greens. Cap and trade is too juicy a target in an environment in which we lost half a million jobs in November to pass up. Even though the price of gas at the pump in has been significantly reduced, it is still out of reach for most families who are facing foreclosure, joblessness, and bankruptcy in their small business. There is no better issue right now for Sarah Palin to exploit. She can win over the whole of the Rust Belt and the coal mining areas. At the same time she can perform conservatism a service by debunking this global change madness.
One last piece of gratuitous advice: Sarah get yourself a voice coach, modulate your voice, pace your sentences, and stop smiling so much, it makes you look nervous- we already know what a nice person you are. Work on the forensic skills and a serious message. A serious message is not designed to win over the electorate, it is to change your image with the literati who will not be won over but who will have to change their template and line of attack. The serious side is not meant to be a substitute for your winning personality but merely a supplement which your supporters can point to refute allegations on the airhead issue.
Here is an issue, you can certainly command an audience, will you seize the moment? Can you modify your delivery?
