I guess I am one of those spray and pray beginners.
My family just bought our first firearm. A pump action shotgun.
Does that count as spray and pray? Or does it need to be an automatic.
Anyway, family will be going to the range this weekend to practice.
Spray and pray doesn’t sound too bad to me.

Going to the range is a very, very good thing!
Spray and pray refers to a semi-auto (rifle or pistol) being shot as fast as you can pull the trigger with very little aiming, target acquisition and safety going on. Controlled accurate fire will beat spray and pray and is a hell of a lot safer.
