Preaching to the choir!
What we are dealing with is an actual phobia, a true form of insanity. It can’t be cured unless the patients want to be cured, and since this phobia has become a badge of political correctness, you may as well forget convincing hordes of the insane that their irrational thoughts and actions are evidence of mental illness.
ask the people at waco what happens when you buy a “truckload” of arms. oh wait, you can’t ask them.
All collectors should be dealt with in such a manner as dictated by the state /sarc
Since when is it a crime to own more than one gun?
Since when is it a crime to own more than one gun?Do police agencies have more than one gun per person?
NEVER, in my mind. but in the mind of reno or napolitano...
i purchased two more firearms (private transactions) just before the election. no receipt, no problem.
...and they leave the toilet seat up too.
We are going down a path that would restrict what kind of knives one could own. (a 6” knife isn’t necessary for that kitchen task)
meanwhile... 911 was conducted with box cutters.
Those who would surrender freedom for safety will have neither
Yes
YesThen it would be hypocritical for them to stop any free person from having more than one gun.
That depends on the specific firearm. Those made after 1986 are only transferable to government agencies (Hughes amendment to McClure-Volkmer Act. It failed a voice vote but was declared to have passed anyway and put into US 922o. You probably already know this but I'm including it for the lurkers who might be reading).
Some models of firearms didn't exist at that time (such as the FN P90, which were just being developed around that time), and those with designs invented after 1986 can't be in private hands. Of course, there haven't been any significant advances in US automatic firearms design since then (possibly due to the law; an unintended consequence with long-term national security repercussions), so the distinction is a minor one.
“The major factor prohibiting Class 3 (auto) weapons is money.”
At the end of the day, that is true. Because you may need to pay an attorney to set up a Trust, which would allow you to “go around” the arbitrariness of some elected official (usually a sheriff) signing off on your purchase, and having to pay redundant transfer fees and taxes, etc.
And this goes against the very core of the 2nd amendment.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
—(Samuel Adams, speech at the Philadelphia State House, August 1, 1776)
I really like the Valmets, but don’t have a hunter.... yet! I do have a M62 7.62x39 tube stock, M76 .223 tube folder, M78-83 .308 RPK style and a M82 .223 bullpup.
A Hunter in one of the .30 cal chamberings would be a great add. I’d also like a M71 wood stock and a M76 wood stock... all I lack is cash... lol!
What did you catch besides “full autos are illegal”?
(note: they are legal to own in 32 states, but highly regulated & taxed.)
A lot of ammunition is foreign-made.
They are beautifully done rifles.
I was lucky enough to get a Molot .308 VEPR hunting rifle, but it doesn’t compare to the Valmets
I love the entire history of the Finns taking the enemy’s stuff and turning it around on them. that is part of the collectability and they are so well made...
That was the only glaring error.
Have you ever wondered what happened to officer Pyle after he made that video?
Here’s the rest of the story.

Looks like freedom of speech gets about as much respect as the right to keep and bear arms does in San Jose.
If my research is correct he wound up working for CompUSA in Chicago as a trainer for a few years and then founded his own computer training school in 1999. Looks like he sells insurance these days.
