Well with Canada going all nuts all of the sudden, I can think of a mutually beneficial trade. Maybe we can get Alberta for some cities. I would think it reasonable.
As memory serves, Portland is already a Sanctuary City for illegal aliens.
You are right in calling them professional protesters. Some just live to protest. As my wife and I traveled from Southern California on through to Indianapolis, Memphis, and Houston: I was startled to see ads for activists to march and protest. In the Indianapolis Star, the Commercial Appeal and the Houston Chronical there were ads offering pay to those that would take part in marches with signs.
To me these are paid anarchists. Anarchy may be very near for our nation, and the whole world!
