Excellent interview on Plains Radio from
Monday with another atty who found another
case law precedent for this issue.

Scroll in just over about 1/3rd the way to
hear the beginning of the meat of the show.
You’ll hear the patriotic music, and the
lady announcer saying it’s the “Lion’s Den.”

Another gal on now is saying that the WH has
known it’s true since all this had been
revealed, but are not in a position to
legally do anything. Also, that an admin
official who’s leaving after the 20th agrees
the case has merit and to go on with it.

Off topic; vitally important. What next? Should we order burkhas now and avoid the rush? Wonder if pastel colors are available. We’d look like a Forsythia bush if we wore solid yellow. Perhaps pink...

I would say they just don’t want to do anything about it, if this woman’s statement is true.

After all, it is the President’s sworn duty to uphold and defend the constitution of the United States. If the current President doesn’t have ‘standing’...then who does?

If this is true, I would hope (yes, “hope is not a plan”) that they may “do” something if and when SCOTUS says “yup, the cat ain’t eligible”.

Sorry to bug you, CE and Lucy - but I didn’t know this. Did you? That he admitted to travelling on an Indo passport?

Invictus - was this as a child only, or did he admit that he did when he was over 18, say?

I ‘hope’ you are right....but after 8 years(7 of which I was a fervent ‘Bushbot’)...I am weary of waiting on Bush to fight the enemy within on anything. Time after time, he has let us down. When ‘right’ was on his side and ‘might’ was the strength of his base...HE DID NOTHING! Burger, Plame, Wilson, NYT leaks, etc. etc. Zip, ZERO, NADA.

Very sad.

Apparently there is a story that when he returned to the U.S. from one of his trips as a young adult he showed a student visa to the Customs official. I do not know if this is true or not, I have found nothing to verify it.

Palestine is a name which has been widely used since Roman times to refer to the region between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.[1] In its broader meaning as a geographical term, Palestine can refer to an area that includes contemporary Israel and the Palestinian territories, parts of Jordan, and parts of Lebanon and Syria.[1][2] In its narrow meaning, it refers to the area within the boundaries of the former British Mandate of Palestine (1920-1948) west of the Jordan River.[Wikipedia]

Despite the devastation wrought by the Romans during the First Jewish-Roman War (66–73 CE), which left the population and countryside in ruins, a series of laws passed by Roman Emperors proved the incentive for the second rebellion. The last straw were laws enacted by Roman Emperor Hadrian, including an attempt to prevent Jews from living in Jerusalem, and a new Roman city, Aelia Capitolina, being built in its place. The second Jewish rebellion took place 60 years after the first and re-established an independent state lasting three years.

The state minted its own coins, known as Bar Kochba Revolt coinage, which were inscribed "the first (or second) year of the redemption of Israel". Bar Kokhba ruled with the title of "Nasi". The Romans fared very poorly during the initial revolt facing a completely unified Jewish force (unlike during the First Jewish-Roman War, where Flavius Josephus records three separate Jewish armies fighting each other for control of the Temple Mount during the three weeks time after the Romans had breached Jerusalem's walls and were fighting their way to the center). A complete Roman legion with auxiliaries was annihilated. The new state knew only one year of peace. The Romans committed no fewer than twelve legions, amounting to one third to one half of the entire Roman army, to reconquer this now independent state. Being outnumbered and taking heavy casualties, the Romans refused to engage in an open battle and instead adopted a scorched earth policy which reduced and demoralized the Judean populace, slowly grinding away at the will of the Judeans to sustain the war. Bar Kokhba took up refuge in the fortress of Betar. The Romans eventually captured it and killed all the defenders. According to Cassius Dio, 580,000 Jews were killed, 50 fortified towns and 985 villages razed. Yet so costly was the Roman victory that the Emperor Hadrian, when reporting to the Roman Senate, did not see fit to begin with the customary greeting "If you and your children are well, all is well. For I and the army are all in good health.", and is the only Roman general known to have refused to celebrate his victory with a triumphal entrance into his capital.

In the aftermath of the war, Hadrian consolidated the older political units of Judaea, Galilee and Samaria into the new province of Syria Palaestina (Palestine). The new provincial designation was derived as an insult from the names of two enemies of the Jews, the Syrians (Assyrians) to the North, and the Philistines who had occupied the coastal plain in ancient times.

There has never been any country or state known as :Palestine" and there are no such places as "Palestinian territories." They are territories that belonged to Israel, Judah and Samaria before the emperor Hadrian changed their names to Syria Palaestia. The only people referred to as "Palestinians" prior to 1947 were "Jews," and the preswent-day claim that Palestinians are an ancient group of of people whose with a separate history and culture, and who owned all of the land from thre Jordan River to the Sea is a modern mythology created in 1964 by the terrorist organization, the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization), formerly headd by Yassir Arafat, and now known as the PA, the Palestinian Authority, it is headed by Arafat's protoge, Abu Mazen, aka Pres. Mahoumoud Abbas. The Charter of the PLO which calls for the destruction of Israel is still a very big part of it and of the PA's charter as well.
