Augusta, GAFormer Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin stopped in Augusta, Monday morning, stumping for Senator Saxby Chambliss in Tuesdays runoff with Democrat Jim Martin.
She made the appearance with Senator Saxby Chambliss, at the James Brown Arena, one of her stops throughout Georgia.

Palin needs more on her resume "in experience" to run for President, then being governor of a state like Alaska. She needs to be doing more than just "ribbon cutting" or stumping for other candidates in other states while still holding down a "full time" job which she was hired to do by the good people of Alaska. Some Alaskans are "feeling" neglected. Memories often run short. Mommy loved you more than she did me scenario.
New York and Alaska are not the same "spring boards".
Question: Where should Palin focus her sights? to better serve her political future?
You assume wrong. I was and perhaps will continue to be a Palin supporter. But I am realistic. I asked a question that has been asked by conservative hosts nation wide. I was just curious on how she can get the exposure and experience she needs to run for President and win. No one has really moved past her going on FoxNews as a host, or some other state/fed leadership role, committee, etc.
Fox News is usually where you go when you have lost or retired, with no future ambitions in the Presidential arena.
One stumping radio host had suggested Palin could try another state as governor, perhaps like Texas; but was a slim chance she and family would move out of their comfort zone.
I feel she should concentrate on "energy" and going those extra miles in making us self- sufficient.
Cutting ribbons for some other running official in another state is taking valuable time away from running her state. Being governor is a full time job. It would be great PR if she stated when asked to stump a candidate (by the same that were so quick to blame her for a loss..) that she is concentrating all efforts on Alaska as hired to do. That would be a refreshing comment from a politician who has tasted the presidential "glow" as she has.
Your personal attack on me, job related, was not productive to the subject at hand.
I merely asked a question. I am truly interested in hearing NEW ideas.
It’s like saying that Tiger Woods should have stayed in Stanford for 2 more years, graduate with a degree, and then attempt the PGA tour hoping to succeed against the big boys. instead he left Stanford after 2 years, became the number one player in the world after 9 months and won 14 majors, destroyed all the big boys and is the number one draw on the PGA tour and has been for the last 11 and 1/2 years. Sarah has 4 years to get ready for 2012; those of you who want Sarah to gain more experience and more knowledge-what do you think she is going be doing over the next election cycle-twiddlle her thumbs? Sarah is Tiger Woods, she is a prodigy, ready to compete, a diamond in the rough; she is prepared to take on all comers; if she decides to run in 2012 she will be formidable-that is what her GOP competitors and the Democrats dread.
As I said, I like Palin. I like that she represents the best about America. She is Mr. Smith (Stewart) Goes to Washington in drag. However, we have Americans who think think they are just too cool to be considered "just" an American. Note the Hyphenated place of heritage. Obama and his flag pin at the onset are a prime example of "it takes a way from the image" scenario. I do not know what has to occur to bring patriotism to the fore front. Perhaps moving back to basics (money in grandma's sock drawer) in regard to the economy is one step. Buy American! Fly our flag in support!
The Japanese have TV's and electronics and we have, yes.. Hollywood, movies as one of our biggest exports! They go hand in hand. Ford is, however, becoming very popular overseas and growing. James Bond drives a Ford now. Ford was not thought uncool for Bond. Why is Ford, GM etc. so uncool to "Our Gang" on the hill?
More than you wanted to know and probably makes no sense....
