Rush let conservatism down in 2008 and here is how. The “operation chaos” foolishness did nothing more then prolong the inevitable and kept the water muddy when we should have had, with a candidate in hand, months to go after Obama before his well crafted convention and re-invention of himself. if the GOP and conservatives (not one in the same) had that time to spell out what Obama was, rather then allow him to take advantage of the extra time, maybe Ayers and Wright and the label of SOcialist would have been more effective.

Rush (and Hannity and the rest who make a good living on conservatives) should have gotten behind one of the true conservatives (Thompson or Hunter or Tancredo) and maybe we would have had a conservative at the top of the ticket- instead they played the middle of the pack for ratings.
