Bump for reading. One of the hospitals - Kapiolani, IIRC - turns out was not a hospital at the time, or at least not for maternity. It was at that time a clinic only, at least as far as maternity cases. So it would have to have been Queens.
It was a maternity facility from the 19th century. Kapi'olani opened a second hospital elsewhere on Oahu in 1989, and that has led to the common mistaken belief that the original facility didn't exist before then.
