Deepok Chopra believes "Washington" was responsible for the attacks in Mumbai. HuffPo and CNN reported:
Chopra: What we have seen in Mumbai has been brewing for a long time, and the war on terrorism and the attack on Iraq compounded the situation. What we call "collateral damage" and going after the wrong people actually turns moderates into extremists, and that inflammation then gets organized and appears as this disaster in Bombay. Now the worst thing that could happen is there's a backlash on the Muslims from the fundamental Hindus in India, which then will perpetuate the problem. Inflammation will create more inflammation.
CNN: Let me jump in on that because you're presuming something very important, which is that it's Muslims who have carried out these attacks and, in some cases, with Washington in their sights.
Chopra: Ultimately the message is always toward Washington because it's also the perception that Washington, in their way, directly or indirectly funds both sides of the war on terror. They fund our side, then our petrol dollars going to Saudi Arabia through Pakistan and ultimately these terrorist groups, which are very organized.

Care to explain that?
Deepak Chumpra: Physician, heal thyself.
> But, he does make a point. The Iraq War was a horribly bad idea, with blowback in many directions.
yeah...let’s just surrender and bow down to Mecca. I’m too lazy to buy a prayer rug. Care to spare one?
From what I understand the Muzzies weren't necessarily kicked out but were given the option of leaving. A large fraction did not go because a) they had too much invested in property that they couldn't/didn't want to leave behind, and b) some had the foresight to know what a Hellhole the new Muslim country was going to be.
Gee, the rulers of Mecca are Saudi’s (Wahhabists).
Why didn’t we invade Saudi? They’ve caused far more trouble, and funded far more radical Mosques in the West and Asia than any Secular Middle Eastern ruler.
America to Deepak, GTFO of my country.
Liberals love to say “blowback”.
So that’s why the Islamists bombed the World Trade Center in 1993, hatched a plot to bomb the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels, the UN and Hosni Mubarak a year later, blew up the US embassies in Africa in 1998, attacked the US Cole in 2000, destroyed the World Trade Center in September, 2001...now I get it. Allah had told them that George Bush would launch a war on terror in October 2001 and they were warning Bush in advance. And the bombings yesterday in Mumbay were just to retaliate against Bush because he didn’t heed their warnings prior to 2001.
If it was so bad an idea, grab an M4 or an M16A4; don some cammies and follow me out the door the next time I go (been there 4 times already), so you can see for yourself and make a real informed decision. While there spend time talking with the other troops and with the Iraqi people. Ask them what the true meaning of "terror" is under Saddam, or the influence AQI has had over their lives. Then, ask them which way they'd rather have it.
Of course, you could just read the quotes from high ranking AQ members stating that Iraq is the central battleground for the jihad (you may consider THIS as "good" since that means the central battleground for international jihad is not; gee I don't know... the United States).
My Marines didn't die for a bad idea.... they died for the 300 million+ people in this country; they died extending freedom and democracy. They died for your right to call it a bad idea.
>> America to Deepak, GTFO of my country.
I don’t much care what Rula Lenska thinks about us either.
Right on Marine.
Go Army!
No he doesn't and that's just silly to assert.
Saddam had 18 chances over a decade to straighten up. He chose to pursue WMD's. We were just informed TONS of yellowcake was moved from Iraq to Canada (not that the drive-bys will mention a peep.)
Today instead of only Iran pursuing nukes we may well have had a nuclear Iraq along with them.Additionally Saddam never turned over a new leaf as to his killing/terror.
Meanwhile al-qaeda and alot of other militants were sucked into the vacuum of Iraq and exterminated like the vermin they were.
Yeah we have always had armchair quarterbacks who can point the finger of blame from the comfort of said armchair....and hindsight is always 20-20. I’d rather listen to someone who’s been there.
Love your tagline by the way..;o)
Maybe not being the world superpower will be a bit of a relief because I’m tired of being blamed for everything from natural disasters to maniacs on a killing spree.
The war was about the entire region, and the Ottoman Empire, and beyond that the resurgent Sasanian version of Persia with its emphasis on class warfare and sex ~ and the United States wasn't even dreamed of by any of these people ~ Deepak is a weird dude Fur Shur.
Frankly, I'm quite happy with the progress of the war. It prevented the genocide of millions of people, the destruction of Earth's last great liquid hydrocarbon supply, and the reduction of the United States of America to the status of a vassal to the Ayatollah's grand council.
Yes, and he failed because he promised as soon as he was elected, the seas would start to recede and a new light would shine on the world.
He lied, people died.
Lets see you showed up Sept 2008 and already you are yapping about Iraq being a bad idea...why don’t you take your illogical argument of Iraq Blowback to the Dummie sites where they believe that crap.
Better yet, why not just kiss Deepak chopras shoes and say,:”Yes, if we hadn’t gone into Iraq so many people wouldn’t be mad at us...Bad Bush. Bad Blowback.”
Back to the ship. The Somali pirates lost something in that fishing trawler ~ we might call it "immunity from retribution". Now that India has opened the door to just blowing the pukes away the game is over. They had to get even.
It is noteworthy that one team of terrorists came to the attack with their very own CHEF!
So, what “horribly bad idea” caused the twin embassy bombings in Africa, the USS Cole attack, the Khobar Towers attack, the ‘93 WTC attack?
