The interesting part of this story is that just when you think that van der Sloot got away with killing her, he gets caught on tape trying to buy Thai girls for resale in Holland. Next thing you know he’s there telling Greta that he sold Natalee to some creep who sailed away with her, that his father bribed two policemen to shut up, and that the kidnapper paid more hush money a few months ago. He also implicated his high school teacher who knew and kept quiet early when the trail for Natalee was still hot and they might have gone after her. This is getting a crime story of the proportions of the Leopold and Loeb thrill killings. The problem is that the Aruba law enforcement authorities are a pathetic joke. Unless the Dutch step in big-time nothing is going to be investigated. Then you might have her alive or by now dead in Venezuela and I am sure Chavez is not going to help. I give Greta credit for a great piece of journalism, getting van der Sloot on camera after all she’s said about him. He attacked Peter de Vries of Holland, who’s also been on this like a bird dog all along and got that tape in Thailand. You wonder how a privileged kid like van der Sloop, son of a judge, could fall so low so fast.
Seems that judges in Aruba aren't that high up in any respect.
