Exactly. It doesn't matter if a genetic predisposition is found. I suspect that alcoholism has a genetic component. Do we then tell such people to celebrate their alcoholism or struggle against their destructive tendencies?

Then what is the truth? There’s lots of gay folk in California, and most of them would tell you they were born that way.
So, I say ten percent, and quote a recognized source. What’s your source say?

Homosexual conduct, just like any other, is ALWAYS chosen. That, combined with the biblical proscription on it, makes any homosexual conduct by definition immoral. That’s not a judgment, it’s an application of law to facts. Doesn’t make them bad people, does saddle them with responsibility for their actions.

If a white teenager starts to enjoy rap music and dress with their pants falling down, does this make them black?Around here, that makes them 'hispanic'. As I stated in my post, one's racial makeup is absolutely determined by birth. But rap music, lowered pants, and t-shirt choice are all livestyle choices.

Homosexual activists have often claimed 10 percent of the population is homosexual, but that figure has long been discredited. The 10 percent number is based on fraudulent research done by Indiana University zoologist Dr. Alfred Kinsey in the mid-20th century. More recent research puts the number between 1 and 3 percent, which is consistent with the CDC numbers.

I will repeat again IT IS A BEHAVIOUR! Now the question is where the behavior came from and is the behaviour acceptable.
You want the truth, you are going to have to dig deeper than accept the statement they were born that way, but I don’t think you really want to know the truth. It is easier to accept lies than find the truth.

The set of characteristics that lead one to experience Same-Sex Attraction may largely be innate.
The behavior, of course, is chosen.

And third, theres the argument that says, Of course I was born gay, you idiot. Why would I choose this?
)
The nature of this statement just screams that they know it is wrong and want to change. They know it is destroying their lives and gives no answers.
Why would anyone choose to be an alcoholic?
Why would anyone choose to be a drug addict?
Why would anyone choose be a liar?
Why would anyone choose to be a smoker? (we ought to quit picking on these people as they were born that way)
All behavioiurs that can destroy lives.

Homosexual “acts” may be chosen, but “homosexuality” is not.
To: Texas_shutterbug
We’ll have to agree to disagree. Homosexual proclivities can be changed.
