Our liberal friends in journalism are normally somewhat reserved, so as to maintain that thin veneer of objectivity. But now that they have experienced the Second Coming with the election results, they have begun throwing caution to the wind in their giddiness. The Washington Post has thrown down the enviro-gauntlet in an editorial and challenged the incoming Messiah to pick it up. If you were relieved that gasoline prices have finally eased, then you are not ready for Hope n Change.
In a perfect world, wed like to see a gas tax that was the equivalent of oil at $100 per barrel. This would send a loud-and-clear signal to drivers to continue eschewing gas guzzlers for fuel sippers and mass transit. Automakers would get the message to speed up production of motor vehicles that meet or exceed the 35 miles per gallon by 2020 mandated by Congress last year.
Are you feeling the change? Well dont answer yet, theres more!
Instead of the [oil] money going to countries that have U.S. interests at heart in the same way a dealer cares about a junkie, the revenue would stay here and it could all be returned to the American people in the form of tax rebates.
Thats right, friends, order now to have your government take your money away then (dont hold your breath) give it back to you if you are a good little worker drone and ride the bus. And if you act now well even throw in a large order of retro-1970s malaise absolutely free! Call within the next fifteen minutes to receive your very own Recycled Clinton Cabinet playset with your order at no additional charge.
Keep hoping for Change!
“Keep hoping for Change!”
Ya,, pennies,,nickels, dimes,,,
The ignorant morons that put them in charge, will now start suffering too....how long does it take for a moron to comprehend something???
OK Mr Dunderhead Journalist...what happens when oil goes back to $100 a barrel? Dumbass liberals. Never underestimate the ability of a liberal to deny reality and attempt to change the rules to do so.
...in more ways than one. (ref public schooling.)

Dang; and here I was thinking that in a perfect world angry chimpanzees would be released into the Capitol buildings along with loaded revolvers...
