Biden could not serve as the democrat ticket of mr. creepy/Biden was bogus and illegal
If this proved to true - SCOTUS could not decide in favor of mr. creepy as Americans would instantly start ignoring the laws that are inconvenient and annoying and costing them money

Do you think a Democrat would want to be the one to pull the rug out from under him before the General election. It would have cost the party 20% of their base. This way it becomes a matter of which Democrat will replace him. They can spend the next 4 years making up for the need to uphold the Constitution.

Well, actually, the amendment seems to be explicit in what it targets. It says these things happen on if the President Elect dies.
If he lives, he may still be disqualified. I would imagine if that happens before Jan 20th, then someone else would need to become president.
