Last November, I visited Washington, DC and got off the Metro at Rosslyn, where I lived when I was at the Natonal Journalism Center in 1979. I was stunned to see a Chipotle across the street from the Metro station. Decent Mexican food didn't exist in DC back in '79.
The best margarita I ever had were at Los Portales in Whittier, which is now defunct. The second best was at Chretin’s in Yuma, Ariz.
Thanks for the suggestions as to restaurants. There are a lot of Mexican eateries around here, but really good ones are hard to find.
Here in my neck of the woods, there’s actually a Mexican restaurant called “El Gringo”. No joke. I’ve never been there, but I’m considering going later this week just to say I’ve been to “El Gringo”. :)
I’m in L.A. Always wanted to try this restaurant — I’m an El Cholo fan but El Coyote beckons ——
I can’t wait................
Good suggestion. Conservaties should make use of the Internet and cell phone technology to thwart boycotts and other leftist shenanigans.
No reason not to. That’s for sure.
