It’s like listening to music, isn’t it?

Today, in the world of YouTube, I actually know more about what Reagan actually said than when he was in office saying it!

That’s one little side benefit of modern technology.

What amazes me is just how articulate — in a completely natural, unpretentious way — he was. I adore Sarahcuda, but she is not yet in this league. She CAN get there, but it’ll take some personal work on her part. Reagan had a way of taking some fairly deep-dish, high-falutin’ philosophical ideas about individualism and liberty and making them seem like “plainspoken commonsense.”

That’s a great gift he had, but it can also be learned (in fact, Reagan said so in that video clip). We’ll need precisely this gift in the next few years.
