By the way, I'd have never said this before the election, but McCain is a globalist, would have revisited amnesty, would have appointed more liberal justices than most of us would be comfortable with, wouldn't have lifted a finger to overturn Roe v. Wade, would have stuck his finger in Putin's eye, and would have made the same choices on the economy as Obama.

The only thing McCain might have been good for us the military (and I have a stake in that). Let's all be realistic here. McCain's mother was in fact prophetic. We held our noses and voted for McCain not because we supported him, but we didn't support Obama. At least Obama was honest enough to give us something to vote against. John McCain never let us get that far.

I would NEVER have said this before the election, Wild Horses couldn't have dragged it out of me, no torture would make me spill the beans, but John McCain is a globalist, he would have revisited amnesty for illegals, he wouldn't have lifted a finger to overturn Roe v. Wade, he would have stuck his finger in Putin's eye AND probably would have appointed more liberal judges than any of us on this site would be comfortable with, and his approach to the economic mess differs little from that of Obama.

Having said that, may God forgive me, I will say that he would have been safer on the military for those in harm's way. (I have a personal stake in that, so it matters to me.) Senator Obama was just Ozark Ike enough to let us know why we were going to vote against him. John McCain never let us get that far.
