The Republican electors are, quite frankly, just as cowardly as their political leaders. They fear Obama and his media arm more than they care about the Constitution or whether the man sitting in the Oval Office is legitimate or not, by FAR.

You fail to grasp the basic concept that violations of the Constitution are ALL the citizens business.

That is why people win lawsuits for civil rights violations all the time.

That is why people can sue the government for infringing on free speech, for violations of their 2nd Amendment rights, for violation of the 4th amendment, etc etc.

You can pretend all you want, but the citizens have standing to challenge when the constitution is violated.

If someone donated to the DNC...perhaps they could sue Howard Dean for fraud....and force him to produce Obama’s certificate.....

Eldridge Cleaver was disqualified from even appearing on the ballot because of age. He wasn’t yet 35.

So, if ONE state asks for ‘proof’ of citizenship and natural born status of a candidate, it must be produced?

I know a LOT about our constitution and structure of government, but I must admit this is one aspect that I do not know the answer to.

Well, our newbie friend arrogantsob thinks the peasants don’t have standing to challenge violations of the constitution.

There is not one person in charge of all the electors. They are nominated by state parties. I don’t even think there is a consolidated list of them anywhere. I am not sure I believe this Atlas blog.

While interesting it has no bearing on our discussion. The judge did NOT say Nader was not qualified to be president merely that he could not legally be on the ballot as an Independent under New Mexico’s law because he ran on party tickets elsewhere.

It was not a constitutional question.

In other words, some circumstances determined that candidate Nader was unqualified for the NM ballot.

Just like some circumstances may make Obama unqualified.

I bet he has a 20002 zip code, and a 202 area code.

>>>Who would check on my Constitutionally mandated ‘requisites’...such as my age and natural born citizen status?

As per the state ELECs (I contacted 7, not all of them), the parties are responsible for vetting the candidates. The FEC will only do further checking if federal monies are requested.
