There are six primary forces in socio-political discourse and influence in America: the presidency, the Congress, the courts, the MSM, academia and pop culture (Hollywood, TV, music). All six are presently aligned vehemently against evangelical Christianity.

This election season has graphically demonstrated it. The evangelical segment of the electorate is now the largest group ever to have been so seriously marginalized and frozen out of the process in one dramatic fell-swoop. And now, it appears that even the Republican Party takes them for granted (elements of the Rep. Party have even been showing outright hatred for them).

Be looking for the nuclear option to be, at least, discussed by these folks — the dreaded third party; it is looking more and more like their only viable option. We all intuitively know that 3rd parties guarantee success to the party they agree with least, which is very destructive; but when one group has been so severely isolated, it may be the only way to wield any influence at all (and not be merely “used” by people who hate them).

Hardly just evangelicals. They are aligned against any serious religion, Roman Catholic, Mormon, some Lutherans, Greek Orthodox, and even Orthodox and Conservative Jews.

They are also lined up against the Constitution, which decrees a limited role for the federal government and protection of individual rights.

When the SHTF, hopefully enough who have taken an oath to support and defend that document will remember those oaths, as Obama and McCain have both forgotten theirs, or rationalized them away.
