This violent protest is appalling.

Does anyone else remember, back in the ‘70s, Anita Bryant campaigned against a gay rights ordinance in Florida? And a protester put a pie in her face. She and her husband prayed for the cowardly protester who put the pie in her face right there on the spot. They did not lash out and attack. Anita Bryant lost her reputation and that gay right ordinance passed back then. Anita Bryant has respect for the rule of law. Anita Bryant stood up for her beliefs without attacking anyone.

Compare that to these homosexual protesters. They are inciting violence on blogs, by asking people to burn down churches and campaign for taking away churches tax exemptions. These homosexual activists are getting ugly about this. How much do they respect the rule of law?

They went to court to get homosexual marriage legalized. Nobody attacked them for doing so. Those opposed to them allowed them to file their lawsuits and respected that the courts gave them that right in Calif. Those opposed also went through the proper legal means to get the marriage amendment on the ballot. Those opposed to homosexual marriage were prepared to live with the outcome if the gay side won the election.

If the gay side had won on Prop 8, I can assure you that there would not be roving gangs in The Castro looking to incite violence on homosexuals.

Do gays respect the rule of law and legal procedures? They used the law to their full advantage to try to force homosexual marriage.

This country seems so close to explode on so many fronts. Some days I think all it would take is one little spark in just the right spot.
