Led efforts to achieve the first state win for the National Popular Vote plan in our home state of Maryland
That there causes heartburn!
Did you see where Dean is stepping down from his position as head of the DNC? Wonder if it has any thing to do with being named in Berg’s law suit.

I live in MD - and that law that they passed giving ALL of MD’s electoral votes to the national popular vote winner is the most ASSININE thing they have ever done.
Thank God it doesn’t take effect unless enough states with 270 electoral votes agree to do the same.
As for me, I favor the Electoral College, albeit with one modification:
Apportion the votes by congressional district - winner of a district gets its EC vote.
Overall winner of a state’s popular vote would get the extra two votes that represent the senate seats as a bonus ...
There is nothing in the Constitution to stop that nonsense either. Although I can’t see small states red or blue going for it and reducing attention paid to them.
This is yet another attempt to change the federal republic the Founders set up for a spurious “democracy”. Direct election of Senators was the biggest move away from the Founders to date.
