It's over. Or is it?
Dr. Slogan’s Prescriptions ^ | 11/05/08 | Jeff Tyler

The election is over. Senator Obama has turned into President Obama. The country has voted, the world has gasped, and the Republican Party has been dealt a major blow in years. It’s over. Is there anything left? Yes. You. And the millions of Americans who yesterday didn’t give their votes to Obama.

Think about it: years of unpopular Republican presidency, George Bush’s approval ratings hitting all times low, years of war, the global financial crisis, huge troubles with economy, and . . . McCain gets 46% of popular vote against Obama’s 52%.

At least they are the 1-2 already most liberal justices. He will be hard pressed to find anyone more liberal. Then we can move on to fight the battle over the court another day in four years.

The only way Obama can make a significant lurch to the left is covertly. Otherwise, the American people would not allow it.

Don't count on it, last night showed we now live in an America populated with a majority of simpletons idiots... go to du or kos for a sample cross section

You don’t have to go there to see it. I see it on a daily basis just living life.

That was the plan many years ago - beginning the process of the “dumbing down” of Americans.

Truly sad.

God Bless America.

The damage will be dang near impossible to overcome. Yes my Friend, this is the beginning of the end.

We will filibuster. We learned that from the dems. Pay back is sweet. And many blue-dog dems know that their folks voted 65 to 35 for McCain. The people are watching and they could be out in the cold 24 months from now.

I disagree - he's got Pelosi and Reid in the house and senate. He has some leverage there. The electorate has about as much power now as it had when the government went against 80% of the people's will and passed the $700 billion buyout. We can't stop them.

I think of the People, ultimately, as an immovable force.

This is the hope, but this is going to happen only we learn the lesson. Dems beat GOP on every turn when it comes to utilizing new tech and reaching out to grasroots. There’s a lot of other afactors of course, but this one is fundamental today and it’s actually an easy fix comparing to war and economy.
