We can now say that racism is official dead as an excuse

With the election of the affirmative action candidate Barack Obama, we can now proclaim "racism" as official dead as an excuse and reparations as official paid.

I expect to see Black on Black Crime, Abortion, Welfare, The Civil Rights Business, Failure and all the other problems that lazy left-wing Blacks have blamed on racism over the years now solved. So now pull you pants up, put down your guns, take car of all the kids and get a job!

The positive part about Obama'[s win is that now, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan will now have to get real jobs along with the CBC, "Can you say welcome to McDonald may I take your order?"

Some of us already knew that the Country was largely post racial. I guess others had to vote for an extremist to legitimize that in their minds. They are way behind IMHO. They should have looked past his skin color and saw the extremism he is pushing. Now they will all find out the hard way...and take the rest of us with them.

Any criticism of Obama will be construed as racism.

“Means nothing. Blacks haven’t been interested in equality for years. They’re interested in exploiting white guilt for personal gain”

Think you may have something there, they have become what they detest most. Some interpretations of “Animal Farm” make this same point.

It will be the comeback kid for anything that doesn’t go Obie’s way.

Putin is licking his chops.

I agree, this is a silver lining on a dark day for America.

Obama’s policies will almost certainly be disastrous, but the elimination of the “racism” excuse will be beneficial (if we survive the next four years as a nation).

This nation (mostly white people) elected a black man named Barack Hussein Obama to the highest office in the world. There is some white racism remaining (though I tend to think there is more black on white racism these days), but it is not a significant barrier anymore.

So, no matter what your skin color, if you are a loser who can’t hold down a job or stay out of jail, or live a productive life, it is YOUR FAULT. You are either too stupid, too lazy or lack the self-control to succeed. Blame yourself and make the changes you need to make, but don’t blame “racism”.

From a more positive perspective, removing the racism exuse, should help young black people. Anytime people of any color face tough challenges in life, there is often a natural tendency to look for excuses to avoid them and give up. For too long, many black youths have found “racism” or “the system” to be this excuse.

Now that it is gone, I am hopefull that more young black Americans will fight through the challenges that we all face in life, and succeed.

Also, whenever Sharpton, Jackson and their ilk, start with their race baiting, the response should simply be: “The President is black, racism is dead, shut up and go home!”

Obama is not pushing work ethic..he is pushing Communism and slavery to the government. What did you say people will learn again? To be even more dependant? This was a huge error on the part of the "hope" crowd. Nothing...I'm mean nothing will change with the victum mentality...it will only serve to legitmze it and create more followers. I see it in all our youth, growing everyday.

Except it won’t be eliminated. It will NEVER be eliminated. Racism will ALWAYS be the excuse used by the likes of Jackson and Sharpton to gain more power for themselves and the poverty pimps, and the media will go right along with it. The election of Obama changes nothing in that regard.

Obama has made history as the first black president. He now has the opportunity to become a GREAT president. He owes nothing to the Pelosi/Reid duo.

I hope he has the wisdom and sense of nobility to set a course for America that includes all Americans, not just the poor and the minorities.

It is possible.

"He owes nothing to the Pelosi/Reid duo."

Completely ridiculous...that's like saying a Bishop owes nothing to the Pope, they are all part of the same system.

Oh, they (Sharpton, Jackson, et al) will continue to try to use racism as an exuse for everythng, but their cries will mainly fall on deaf ears.

My point is that now their position that America is a fundamentally racist nation and that blacks do not have the same opportunities is utterly indefensible and can be silenced with a simple, “Grow up, the President is black.”

Yeah,, I know they can still use it,, but I will enjoy saying "How can America be racist when it elected a black President?" I think this is one of the small but real silver linings. The end of white guilt! Obama did not get elected on black votes alone. A whole lot of white people voted for him!

“He owes nothing to the Pelosi/Reid duo.”

I stand by this. He made it without them. He can chart a course of his own. Pelosi and Reid are abominations of power and narcissism.

The dynamics of this will be interesting to watch. He needs to think of his legacy in every move he makes. Pelosi and Reid are no more than frothing at the mouth rabble. He can rise above this. I think he will.

I believe it was sarcasm.

I believe it was meant to be sarcastic too, but let's take a page from the left's book. Repeat that over and over and over. Accept no dissent from that mantra and let's stick it to them with their own tactics.

You do realize that Congress and the leftist media helped him to win by destroying the economy right? Come on......Dem/commies are not independent of one another. It's a "system"..a mindset that is indocrinated.

It's been dead for years. It's just that some people make a lucrative income off it.
