Me, I have spent some time in prayer. This has not been a particularly virtuous country in the last half-century as measured by traditional values of respect for life, sexual morality and reverence for God. Perhaps it is time for us to wander in the wilderness. I hope it does not last for 40 years. It doesn't help that the only time it seems like Christians in this country get serious about praying FOR our country is a month before an election when it looks like a guy we don't like might win. II Chronicles 7:14 doesn't just apply to election cycles!

In examining my life, it seems that I spend more time in prayer when I need help. Its a human trait, but thats no excuse. We also pray to give thanks for blessings. I pray daily when I start work for wisdom, insight and Gods guidance to do what is right.
I hope you do the same.
