Thank you for your service!
The voters wanted an AMERICAN IDOL president and they got him. (I guess...)
This is what happens when the country swings too far to the right - it opens the door for the radical left. A constant push and pull of the fringe - we all lose.
The center is the way. The Clintons were centrist but could not be tolerated - destroyed by the right and the left fringe.
Again, by working to destroy the Democratic Party center, you opened the way for the radical left.
Now you have given us 0bama. Carry on pubbies, you’ve done a great job so far.
They want the freebies and hand-outs Obama is talking about....IMO
Lord, there is so very little time left. We have prayed and fasted in hoping to get the man into this postion as president of this country. A man McCain whom we thought would govern this country. We did not have much choice Lord. He seemed to be the man whom lived more closely to your principals and your laws. We feel like David. We have only one stone left to place in our sling shot to bring down this giant. We need your help. We are not a sinless people. We are guilty of sin. Please forgive us and deliver us from this evil. Remember Oh Lord, the many small armies that were victorious because you were with them. We claim you as our Lord. Come to our rescue. Hear us Oh Lord..
We survived Jimmy Carter, LBJ, and JFK.
This new guy though isn’t like any of those. I thought those guys always meant well but had poor judgment. I have no idea what Obama really thinks. This guy is scary.
We NEED to win back at least one house in 2010. I don’t know what is going to happen to our country if we don’t.
The Book Written by a NY teacher who said he tried to sabatage the systen and ended up becoming NY St Teacher of The Year...Dumbing us Down by John Gotti ...he points out how the system works against us from simple educational learning methodology.
Israel wanted a King. The US wanted Obama (apparently).
We’ll see how that works out for the US.
At least we can take some small consolation in the fact that Hillary is even more miserable than we are.
I have uttered those same words 1000 times over the last few months. We are witnessing the death of this country by self inflicted wounds...
Here's from one of my other posts
History will, unfortunately, repeat itself, if you ever knew history! A republican President, Hoover, did the same thing as Barry Soetoro is promoting. Hoover raised taxes from 25% to 63% for incomes over $100,000 (very "rich" then). Results.... the history's worse depression where millions of people lost everything, including jobs, property forcing them into soup kitchen lines. Then another "sweet" talker showed up on the arena, from Austria, and fooled the German people to set the world on fire and slaughtering 6+ million Jews. Hoover learned dearly that raising taxes in a depressed economy is disastrous, and it took more than a decade to recover from that!!! If you think that raises taxes in our present depressed economy is the answer, I am afraid you are in for terrible surprise. Instead of encourage businesses to create new jobs, you will take that encouragement away and the unemployment will skyrocket like in the Carter administration. Every elections have consequences that people are willing to overlook, because the individual is not mature enough make his own decision, "I have to follow the crowd, because they tell me to do so"! Sadly, but true
Remember when you went trick-or-treating as a kid?
There was always one house in the neighborhood that gave out apples instead of candy. The kids avoided that house.
Obama was giving out the candy, and McCain was giving out the apples.
I don’t mean to be cruel, but I’m laughing right now at the hand-wringing I’m seeing here on FR. The average voter is an ignoramus, you say? Well, there’s a news flash! PROTIP: the Founders restricted the franchise to rich white men for very good reasons. But no, we were so much smarter than they were. Everybody gets to vote now.
And yet we cry when they vote for the slickest con artist on the midway.
Well, save your tears. I have been arguing against representative government here on FR for the better part of a decade now, and I have always been shouted down. “I trust the American people!” the critics say. “God won’t let them vote the country into the toilet!” Well, please don’t squeeze the Charmin, friends, but the Ti-D-Bol Man is off the port bow.
Giving the average moron a vote is like giving a chimpanzee an Uzi. History demonstrates this over and over. Yet we act surprised when Bongo shoots up the joint? Madness.
So cry if you must, but don’t believe for a minute that I’m crying along with you. Nope, I’m laughing my ass off at the election, the system, and the pathos of no-more-kings “conservatives” who are finding out the hard way that a government that derives its powers from the will of the governed is a tyrant worse than the worst king that ever lived.
All you had to do is see the ratings for American Idol for the last few years.
