That's why it is important to discourage such discouraging posts at such a crucial time as this.

Don't be silly. Realism and determination to win are not mutually exclusive. It is likely that we will lose (at least here in VA) but that is not going to stop me or anyone else from voting. I just sent a last minute donation to Gilmore who is certainly going to lose. But let's at least be realistic, we have the media, ACORN, and a million brainwashed and angry voters (again my observations here in VA) against us.

I’m not so sure that this so-called realism will not stop some people from going to the polls. Yes a large majority will go out and vote regardless, but even if only a small minority succumb to the spin that could be enough to put Obama over the top in some of the battleground states.

Yesterday, in fact, a FReeper wrote that his conservative friend at work said something to the effect of “why should i bother voting? Obama’s got it in the bag!”

But hopefully a lot of Obama supporters are thinking the same way.
