Depression I’ll believe. And these days, most people wouldn’t bat an eye at that.
He’s not schizophrenic

He admitted to using cocaine — what other hard drugs may he have used. Drugs affect people’s mental faculties, even permanently, depending on how much he was using.

If he has nothing to hide, WHY didn’t he release his medical records?

Yeah, I’d have a hard-time with schizophrenia, too...he could be bipolar, though.

I have my opinion and this is just my opinion.....barry has self hate issues, not because of being of mixed blood, but because he might very well have been sexually molested repeatedly by that good friend of the family and communist Frank Marshall Davis....

barry grew up in a very dysfunctional family...moved around alot...had two different "fathers"...idiots for grandparents and mother....probably had no close friends....and to have a friendship forced on him by his grandparents and mother of frank marshall davis, who is alleged now to have been a pervert..

so think about it...you have no real father, your mother keeps shacking up with various men, you move too much to really become attached to anyone, yet the one person that is forced on you...Davis...is a pervert and a communist...

if young barry had suffered at the hands of Davis...emotionally or even physically....who would he blame subconciously?

his white mother and white grandparents for not protecting him....

thats all I am guessing....

but it would explain barry ...cold, hateful, bitter, with sexual identity issues, punitive, wanting to get "even" with others who so much as speak against him....

I have a family member with a formal dx of *bipolar disorder*.
When not medicated and in his depressed state, he hears voices that tell him to ESAD. Hearing voices is not just depression and one diagnostic term can be *schizaffective*.

As I understand it, these various disorders are rather fluid.
There can be depressive and manic states. Various medications need to be managed and often need to be changed.

I have witnessed extreme depression and zerO is not it. I have witnessed extreme mania and I don't see that, either. But, if he's correctly medicated, he could display the flat affect that is variously termed *cold*, *aloof* or *cerebral*. That does describe zerO.

I think he would need to be observed off his meds or in a period of stress where the meds need adjustment to make any accurate observation.

And you are correct: depression or even bi-polar is not longer a stigma. But they do affect judgment. I really would hate to find out that this is the case. Extreme stress could undermine any positive effect from medication and that would be when it would be observable, if he really has this spectrum of disorders.

I've been around a lot of schizophrenics, and I agree. A personality disorder, or a drug induced psychotic break I could accept.
