America seems to be asleep at the wheel once again: Brazil and Iran agree to take relationship to a new level. Iran's foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki said, "Iran affords South America major priority in its foreign policy and Brazil enjoys a special position in this respect.” While Brazil's counterpart, Mr. Amorim, said their meeting was a "turning point" that would lead to a new level of cooperation when the two President's meet in Tehran.
Brazil's "special position" is in two areas: oil, and uranium. Brazil's decision to turn down an OPEC invitation in September was good. But with the price of oil slumping, and the credit crunch hurting their ability to reach their offshore oil reserves, Brazil may decide that joining OPEC is in their best interests.
More worrisome is Brazil's advancement in refining uranium. Russia has offered Brazil modern methods for the production of uranium, new nuclear power plants and superconducting technologies.
The combination of Russian nuclear technology, and Iranian influence in South America pose a serious threat to the United States. Especially since areas between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil are a focus of Iranian and Hezbollah terror.

We are lying to ourselves, thinking we can control the spread of nuclear technology. We can only hope to slow it down, that is all. Let’s try a thought exercise: Russia is our enemy. Russia Introduces nuclear weapon programs to countries under the guise of nuclear technology. What exactly are we to do about it? answer-nothing.
Brazil scares me the most of the three nations listed.
Why would Brazil scare you?
The tri-border region is a huge concern, yes.
But Brazil is generally peace-seeking. Hopefully in the long run any cooperation with Iran will be minimal on their part. But we shall see...
Not to worry — 0bama will set things straight if he (God forbid) gets into the WH. All three countries will get what they want and we will get it in the *ss.
Gosh,ummm lets see ,we used to have a president who swore to protect us from enemies foreign and domestic,yea voter fraud,marxist candidates runnin unexposed,umm border invasions by illegals, drug cartel invasions,congressional and senatorial members negotiating with the enemy and not being punished for treason,.. fraud and absolute corruption in the mortgage business by government employees and congressional members going scott free..sorry can’t remember his name.I think he was from Texas or sumthin.Whoever he was he laid the groundwork for the Marxist that is coming.
