Don’t we already have a military AND a National Guard?

He was talking about the National Guard - he was pandering to a bunch of veterans about making the National Guard units as well-funded and well-equipped as the active duty units, only he kept screwing up the nomenclature. That's the bigger issue, the guy doesn't even understand the National Guard, it's role, and it's functions.

He also seemed to think that we could magically produce the money to put every National Guard unit on par with their active duty parent divisions. We simply can't do it. The money needs to go to active duty divisions, and it needs to go towards National Guard units deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan.

humm, i dont think so. if he was he would have said “we need to fund the national guard.....” go over to youtube and take a look for yourself what he means by civilian forces. first joe the plumber, news stations, now papers...this man is power hungry and he will want a civilian force he can trust, a group not associated with our military.

No he wasn't. He is talking about a civilian Gestapo who would be loyal to him and would be well-funded. These fanatics would be his own enforcers.

I expect they will be ruthless thugs, probably hard-core killers in prison HE WILL PARDON using his virtually unlimited powers as president to grant pardons and who he will heavily arm to work against the people!

Using the unbridled power of presidential pardon, he could open thousands of cell doors across America and unleash hell upon us.
