Very Addictive. Don’t take this wrong way, but someone on AMC’s blog said Mad Men is to men what Sex and The City was for women. That’s kinda true (and I hated SATC). It’s not the sleaze factor so much; it’s that the show deals with relationships from a MAN’s perspective, and unapologetically so.

Good and incisive point. I too watch Mad Men, but with less interest this season (when it is more soap operaish) than last.

I can see why Obama might watch Mad Men, because, as the posting says, he is a Don Draper kind of figure.

Draper is extremely successful and overcomes, one way or another, nearly all the obstacles he encounters. Will Obama be as successful? Is Draper headed for a tragic end? That would be the logical/poetic outcome. What will be Obama’s outcome?
