I’m seeing a pattern here that indicates you might be onto something.

"the Palin rollout was mishandled"
http://spectator.org/blog/2008/10/25/palin-goes-rogue

"botched the Palin roll out"
http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/is-the-race-over/2/

"a botched rollout"
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1008/14929.html

"and botched her roll out"
http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/rubin/33852

"Palin Unhappy About Her Rollout"
http://donklephant.com/2008/10/18/palin-unhappy-about-her-rollout/

so on and so on...

In each instance the "inside information" is reported to be as from "Palin supporters, inside the campaign and out" nary a single direct quote

The last thing Sarah Palin ought to do is listen to anyone who has anything remotely to do with George Bush's media strategy. We have never before in our history had a chief executive so utterly incapable of communicating simple ideas in a clear and consistent manner. Worse, he surrounded himself with people who enabled his feckless, defensive strategy.

Some people don’t need campaign advice.

Nixon wanted to dump Agnew in 1972 but chickened out, and pretty soon the Democrats had defeated them both, but not at the ballot box. The GOP never learns, it seems.

“The campaign has botched her roll-out—no brainer.”

I think so, too. We had Ohio and we’ve lost it. Many became so disenchanted they have gone back to 0bama, and it’s the image they became disenchanted with - not necessarily Sarah. There’s just too much doubt now. Sadly, many in Ohio get their news from the MSM and believe nothing else.

It’s not helping my political mood that the last 4 people I’ve talked to today have told me to give it up because it’s obviously going to be a landslide for 0bama...and yes, these are Republicans.

A repeated tactic of the leftists: drive a wedge. Split the opposition. Incite infighting.

The left has nothing.

Palin Pingers

"Let Palin be Palin" what a novel concept... And hopefully one that Palin is doing now that she isn't listening to her Bush/Roveian advisors, which according to this article is a true and is causing a lot of tension. If this is true, I say PARTY!

Given the fact that Palin is the best political decision McCain has ever made, we can understand why the opposition and its media are trying so desperately to attack her.

If Palin were such a political risk, the opposition would keep its mouth shut. This dynamic should be a source of encouragement for some of these pessimistic Freepers who seem oblivious to the McCain advantage.

Don’t think so...there’s lots of smoke there, and remember that Governor Palin, as governor of Alaska, has her own organization and people who have her best interest at heart, unlike the Bush and Romney hacks who are still assigned to her plane. Palin’s people are the ones who are talking to the press now about this, so that the McCain crowd can’t blame her IF they lose in two weeks. Makes perfect sense, especially since Fighting Sarah is feeling stifled against her own keen political instincts.

They were assigned to her by Schmitt and Davis, and she has only figured out in the past week that their advice is worthless.

Here’s how we win:

Let Palin be Palin

and

Let Biden be Biden.

This fear-based, defensive, curl-up-inside-your-shell posture toward the press is killing the GOP.

Weeks ago, I termed this "the Dubya Cringe" - and I for one am glad Sarah is ignoring these fools and their stellar track record.

It is interesting to note though, the repetetive use of the phrase, "botched rollout". Sounds like a DNC faxed talking point.

Exactly. The press is the enemy, and ought to be treated as such, which means threatened and bribed to provide the right spin or at least to shut-up.

Palin is not the cause of McCain's decline: she's the only reason his RINO a$$ even has a chance to win.

Palin blames her handlers for a botched rollout and a tarnished public image....

Well, I agree with that. They did mishandle her rollout and, as a result, her public image was needelessly tarnished. I hope there's no permanent damage and that she'll emerge from it stronger and wiser. Rogue on, Sarah!

Given the fact that Palin is the best political decision McCain has ever made, we can understand why the opposition and its media are trying so desperately to attack her.

You're right. Quayle, Nixon, and Agnew were certainly targets of the opposition, but nothing like Palin. Never in our history has a VP nominee been the target of such an unrelenting assault.

Palin is the target because she is the threat. McCain is barely in the cross hairs of MSM when compared with Palin. The opposition recognizes the mortal threat she presents both now and in the future. She's an accomplished and charismatic female leader whose appeal crosses gender and party lines. Palin is a phenomenon poised to reshape the political landscape. And the smart people on the other side know this. That's why they are so determined to destroy her now.
