Stark Predictions 2 An Update on the Serious Consequences of an Obama Victory

Several months ago, I wrote the first edition of Stark Predictions – What Will Happen If Obama Wins. The prediction business, of course, is an inexact science. As we approach this election, the Stark nature of Obama’s and Nancy Pelosi’s plans are coming into better focus – and so, therefore, are the implications to America. On a broad level, I describe how Americans will react to those policies in my article: How the American Atlas Will Shrug.

I wrote that believing that a Barack Obama victory will likely usher in a huge leap toward the Left, not unlike the size of the leap ushered in by Roosevelt and Johnson. That leap implies that very serious policy implications are likely to follow in just the first two years as the Democrats seek to capitalize on their new found power.

1. The Weak Economy Implications. The US economy is weak principally because we have the 2nd highest overall tax burden in our history and the self-inflicted oil crisis. When the tax burden is that high, economies face real trouble and can be tipped into recession rather easily. The housing/bank crisis was the straw that highly damaged the already weakened back of the current US economy. Sadly, rather than recognizing that “government is not the solution to our problems, government is the problem,” the Dems, with the help of the Media, have successfully portrayed the weak economy as the fault of the Republicans and will use the weak economy and fear to demand radical change.

2. They Will Move Quickly: Knowing that voters are fearful and angry - and that their own Congressional poll numbers are low

An 0bama presidency means an end to all foreign and military aid to Israel, and America turning its back on the Iranian threat.
It also means Venezuela becomes a nuclear power and expansionist.

Weather everyone in America know these things in particular detail or not,...we ALL know it in our gut.

It is SO scary, that I don’t know how anyone can even consider Obama as president.

Plus, Obamarx will throw Colombia to the wolves, and "normalize" relations with his Cuban buddies.

Ok, I'm hesitant to mention this, but, what about this possible outcome?:

Following the significant capital outflows from the markets of November and December 2008, the wave of layoffs from small business and capital flight from the country, the incoming president obama decides that a retroactive capital gains hike and income surtax is required to balance the books, to restore "fairness", to "redress the balance of the economy" yada yada yada, you get the picture.

Retroactive... to January 2000 (no doubt instalment plans would be available)

Can you not picture it? What's to stop it?
