I thought that Punahou school was an expensive private prep school. Here he says he was in public high school.
I was wondering about that too. Just to make sure I wasn’t crazy, I googled it, and yep Punahou is a private prep school.

Isn’t it funny how nobody can get Obama’s biography right? And in this case you have to think that they got their facts from Obama himself. There would have been no reason for them to dig through his school records or whatever. So, at least at first glance, it seems reasonable to conclude that he lied to them to seem more “common man” than he is.
