Remember when Obama said to his supporters “Get in your face?”
First the backwards B thing, and here’s where I get more suspicious. How does the perp know she’s with the campaign simply based on the bumper sticker? There are LOTS of cars with McCain bumper stickers.
They’d have to fake the surveillance tape, too.

That’s where the rubber may meet the road. If the whole incident happened off-camera it won’t prove anything one way or the other. If part of it is caught on camera, then I’ll believe.
Andyman, you may be right. Looks like we’re being had. If that B really is backwards on her face, it could be self-inflicted. Did the ATM camera catch anything?

Earlier report said she was not in range of the camera.
This report says the assailant approached her from behind while she was at the ATM.

The photo up on Drudge shows the B to be backwards on the right side of her face. We are going to need more definitive proof. Could be self-inflicted.
I’ve been pondering on that flipped “B” and thought of one way it could be legit. If the perp had been standing above her, behind her head, then the B would have been correct. But that’s about the only way.
I'm reserving judgment.
It’s not the only way. Put someone in a chokehold from behind with your left hand and write a B on their face. It will be backward if you write on the person’s face like you would a piece of paper.
If she was trying to fake this and messed up with a backward B, she probably would have said, Oh crap. I did it backwards. Also, the fact that she used B and not O also makes me think this is legit. Someone this politically minded would have used O, not B.
The backwards B could simply mean the picture got reversed somewhere along the line, so that may end up not meaning much.
I’ve got a bad feeling about this story, for two reasons. First, that B looks far more mild than I would have expected a bad guy with a knife to produce. Second, the carving or painting of messages on a victim is often the signature of a hoax (think Tawana Brawley).
It seems like fake liberal victims of some conservative evil bigot often have slurs or something marked on them somehow. Off the top of my head, I can’t remember the victim in something like this ever being a conservative, like this woman. Still though, this feels odd.
I hope this can be verified, and the attacker caught and jailed. I just hope there it turns out there really was an attacker.
