Considering the racist hatred shown by blacks

Some folks with very dark skin are actual conservatives ... and post on this forum ... even on this very thread.

I haven't noticed any racism spewing from them.

Of course, they're not 0bama supporters.

Unfortunately, states rights died just outside a small, whistestop town in Pennsylvania, during an overcast and unusually cool July. It took the Feds three days to finish the job.

Dividing what from what? The Civil War was easy: the Mason-Dixon Line clearly marked one side vs. the other. We don't have such a line this time.

Your kidding right? Compare these two maps: It is both ironic and creepy:

All the way back to Lincoln?

WTF are we waiting for?

I like to think of it as “Might is Right”. The South just had less might, but not anymore. The liberal north is weak and morally corrupt and has lost its manufacturing that gave it the advantage in the Civil War.

Winners write history. If the American Revolution had failed, George Washington and the rest of the Founding Fathers would have been tried for treason and executed by the British. We would have been taught in elementary school about their evil acts and how much better off we are as part of the British Empire.

“So, there’s the choice:
*Civil disorder, mostly in Urban areas if BHO loses, or
*Civil War in America, with secession a possibility, as well as violence, if he wins”.

Good post. I have been saying this myself for sometime now.

It seems plain to me, and I have checked my thinking on this, ruling out emotion, etc.

I do believe that there is opportunity here. Leadership is required, and I don’t mean elected officials.

Hopefully, the cure will not be worse than the disease.

God help us anyway.

“The Nation’s demographics are changing, with Democrats now taking several states that were once solid GOP”.

Demographics are the key to the whole GOP problem. Middle class Whites (The basic block of the Party) are becoming a smaller percentage of the Electorate each four year election cycle.
Even here in the Conservative bastion of Texas, Whites are already a minority and it’s only a matter of time until we turn a dark Blue. (Unless by some miracle we start getting 51% of the Hispanic vote) After that electoral disaster how will the Pubbies ever win a National Election?

I read the article which goes to great lengths (mostly unnecessary) to prove its point, but it has been obvious to anyone watching that the two Americas are completely incompatible. Like a bad marriage, the only question left is when and how the separation will occur.

I think it's gone too far to be settled peacefully. If we're lucky, we'll get a chance to separate violently. If not, there will be re-education camps, and they will be filled with white, Christian conservatives.

Nothing has changed about Democrats since the 1840’s when that awful racist Martin Van Buren was president. They love slavery, they just disguise it better in these “politically correct” times.

You are one insightful Guy! Your take on our Northern Brethren comparing the Democratic Party of today with that of the 19th Cenury Dems is spot on.
They can’t get it through their heads that the Consservative Southern Republicans are merely the Old Conservative Democrats turned GOP.

Oh, yes, and I should have commented on this aspect: The constant attempt around here to link modern, far left, totalitarian, multiculturalist Democrats with the Democrats of the post-Civil War era is beyond bizarre

I find it more bizarre that people try to link the pro-slavery Democrats of the Civil War era with modern conservatism. There is absolutely nothing to admire in a bunch of politically-minded slaveholders attempting a power grab against the wishes of the majority of their countrymen.

Democrats, whether they be Jefferson Davis or B. Obama, have always tended to believe in government of the nonproductive by the nonproductive, for the nonproductive.

“Of course, they’re not 0bama supporters.”

Excatly. Unfortunately the number of conservative blacks is far fewer than the liberal blacks. What baffles me is that the blacks I am talking about have six figure jobs yet desire to be thought of as homies with a ghetto pass. The BET culture rots their brains.

I tend to agree with you. We are not in a civil war - yet. However, what is going on today is - I believe - similar to what led up to the first Civil War. Tension is mounting. Just went up the road to get an iced coffee - Springfield, Virginia area. Radio news had a story about some guy in Maryland making bomb threats to Casa De Maryland. I wondered - how is this different than what Ayers did? I know the answer - the threat is against a leftist/liberal organization. But it also makes you wonder - what is the last resort when the law is used against you?

“Winners write history.”

You got it! The South was being pushed around by the North and that is what caused the war. Slavery was just an issue of that pushing around but it wasn’t the root cause of the war. The North won and wrote the history books.

Read Liberal Facism by Jonah Goldberg. It has already happened here and is still going on.

"what is the last resort when the law is used against you?"

You make an interesting statement. Allow me to rephrase:

The second amendment is for when the government uses the law against us.

Then according to the Constitution they are the enemies that need to be removed. No need to run from them, they should be running from us.
