Quick warning

I was wondering why I never heard from the folks who said they were hosting McCain parties that I contacted via JohnMcCain.com -- well I accidentally sent an email to my spam file, and when I went to retrieve it -- there were 3 different invites for 3 different McCain events!

Now, I don't want to say that there is a conspiracy going on at the obviously in-the-tank AOL -- but from now until elecetion day, I am going to check my spam file every day just to be sure.

You mean there’s still an AOL? And if so, why are you still using it?

Here’s how it works...Obama supporters sign up for McCain email in droves and then when they receive it, they report the email as spam to AOL, Gmail,HOtmail etc; that triggers the anti-spam filters to kick in (it’s algorithm driven) - of course that can go both ways. They can seed emails across all major ISPs. I actually warned about this exact possibility in an Op Ed for the Atlanta Journal Constitution in 2003. Sure some wack job tech could easily block all email from a certain IP range; adding to your address book is the only way to insure delivery and why email is not reliable.

Always check your spam folder every day. Any anti-spam solution is a two-edged sword. You will get false postives even when you control the solution.
