FireFox might be the issue, the sites that are crashing it might not be compatible, try DL’ing Ie 7.0 its free and I know its working fine.

I’m using Firefox 3.0.3 on a PC with no problems on those sites.
(Other than this site sending me to the top after a post or not letting me post without sending me to the top. Not sure if that’s a Firefox problem.)
