Want to Wipe Out All Of ACORN's Fraud? Time For The Purple Finger Act of 2008

Good Idea.

But, I'd suggest the Purple Thumb Act of 2008.

If people are threatened with losing a thumb while trying to vote
more than once...they might listen.

Getting along minus part of a finger is a hassle.
Getting along without a thumb (and thus the opposable grip)
even for your non-dominant hand...a pain in the @$$.

Agree with the hand.

Start by clearing ALL voter rolls after every election. Everyone must register IN PERSON with a photo ID and proof of residency. No registering by another party group or any machination. Register 30 days before any election. No sooner. THen, let’s give them a “vote card” with a unique serial number that is surrendered at the polling place after positive photo ID is presented. Gotta have BOTH.
No absentee ballots. No early voting. NO EXCUSE.
If it’s important enough to a person to vote, they’ll figure out how to get it done.

Then make sure everyone that votes gets a printout with a readable vote register and some serial number, unique to that voter. Then a voter could go online later and confirm his vote was correct.

And two weeks later his finger/hand will still be purple.

For years, the liberals have declared that any voter ID disenfranchises the elderly and poor. Also for years, the liberals have organized get-out-the-vote drives to bus the elderly and poor to polling places.

You'd think that, just once, the liberals could organize a get-a-state-ID drive and bus the elderly and poor to the local DMV and get them an photo ID?

For how many more years must we hear that the poor don't have IDs and can't be forced to show one to vote?

Well, if the Democrats figure out a way to commit voter fraud through the use of photo IDs, then ACORN will be bussing folks to get their IDs. The game is Democrats use any means to cheat and commit voter fraud and phoyo IDs would cramp their criminal enterprise style.

Grand idea. The Iraqi purple finger was one of the most powerful images of my lifetime.

First, who would oppose such legislation?

Democrats. Liberals. Frauds. Cheats. (I seem to have contracted Repetition Disorder.) Communists. Socialists. Liars.

How does that purple stuff work? Can’t people just wash it off, or does it somehow absorb into the skin and take time to go away?

It is my understanding that it is an ink not unlike the ink that explodes when you open a secured bag of cash....it’s a bitch to wash off :-)! You aren’t getting it off for a couple of days.

Of course, one thing I thought of is a person having the world’s first allergic reaction to this stuff....that’d make for great headlines in Pravda, er, NY Times.

I can imagine a bunch of people in Florida sitting there examining people's fingers. I can also imagine people saying "I work in a vineyard, that's why my fingers are already purple"!

My thoughts too. We can walk up to ANY ATM in the freakin’ world, swipe a plastic card and take out money.

Same deal with voting.
Register and get a single unique card that’s cross referenced with state and federal records, SS and verifies age and address.
Swipe it into a Voting Machine, punch the buttons and get a receipt printed. Once a card has been used that unique ID is blocked until the next election.
Instant tabulations with electronic records.

If it’s good enough to get cash money, it’s good for voting too.
