good actor but let’s be honest...he’s been obviously flaky since he played Jordan Benedict III or even “Goon”

I think were seeing how powerful the Mainstream Media is in this election. This may be the most un-informed electorate in the history of U.S. national elections. It's not like this is some surprise, is it? It has been known for decades, and while the liberals were out there actually doing things, conservatives were just funding think tanks to write another paper.
The schools are controlled by the left, and so are these news media and entertainment media. With this key triad, the indoctrination has proceeded to where "educated" people don't even recognize it or question whatever they are fed by the left.
The Left has successfully implemented a long-term strategy to win this election and have total control of the USA, while the conesrvative side has buried its head in the sand.

If he was for the Bushes and against McCain [...] Many here at FR did not realize what a dishonest man George W. Bush is until his second term. I wouldn't hold that against Mr. Hopper.
And listen to the last debate. Barack Obama might have been lying through his teeth, but he was standing up there and espousing conservative/traditional principles better than Sen. McCain was!

" This election year is like entering the twilight zone isnt it? "
That's a understatement.

Hopper recalls, "My mother had died three months before and my wife had obviously mentioned something to Obama. I only met him a couple of times before and he turned to me in this crowded elevator and said, 'I'm so sorry to hear about your mother.' He said, 'I know your mother is from Kansas and so is mine. I didn't have an opportunity to give you condolences but you have my sympathy.' I thought, 'In the middle of this day with all this stuff going on, you have the presence of mind to turn to me in this crowded elevator and say that - that is really remarkable.' That's somebody who has great humanity and (somebody) who has presence of mind - important qualities for a president. Obviously (this article from March 2008) Dennis Hopper had not (or still has not heard) of Barack Obama's lack of compassion for babies that were born alive and left to die unattended (deliberately) in a hospital utility closet (anywhere from 5 minutes to 8 hours of unaided gasping).
Dennis, you fell for a con man.

I actually read an article when tracking Dennis Hopper on here and 3 years ago, Hopper actually said that John McCain is the kind of guy he would like to be President in a meeting with him in 2005.

“We were told only John McCain, a moderate, could win in this environment. The RINOs and Mindless Middle got what they wanted.”
They got scared because McCain was polling 10-12 points better against BHO than Romney was. What they didn’t factor into that thought was that Romney would’ve run a much better campaign.
With the current economic situation, I have no doubt that Romney would be ahead +5 right now.

I have friends who are so despondent over this election. I have followed lots of elections closely - but this year is different - creepier or is it just me? No it is not just you. Especially if Obama wins (and it's looking like that's a good bet) we are going to become a purely socialist country. Hugo Chavez will be dancing the happy dance.
