I totally feel your pain! My brother is a certified moonbat and it’s impossible to reason with him. It’s a crying shame - I think he’s well past the point of no return. He went to a typical leftist university and unsurprisingly came out a hardened RAT.
Abigail, I do however take issue with your points about wishing you had homeschooled him so you could teach him “reading writing and arithmetic.” Your grasp of grammar, quite frankly, is atrocious.

Totally uncalled for. Hope the “ego points” were worth it for you. Also, when one teaches - truly teaches as opposed to indoctrinates - one often learns as much if not more than one’s student. Furthermore, which is more important, good grammar ability or a sane world view?
I am dyslexic and can't spell English worth a darn, too many broken rules. Writing was always my worst subject.
Not a problem homeschooling my children since they begin to teach themselves once they learn to read well. The second advantage of homeschooling is having students that do not rely on others for learning, they can think for themselves. No wonder dems hate them. BTW my oldest graduated high school with his associate degree in biology and now has a graduate degree in business, second oldest is at Juilliard and the third in now in college....I did not hold them back in the least!
