Michael Savage had the question tonight: What most scares you about an Obama Presidency? Figured I would throw it out to Freepers.
No Rush.
Loss of free speech, loss of freedom of religion, loss of right to bear arms.
Additionally, it terrifies me that my extreme loathing of Barry makes me agree with some of the stuff Hillary & Bill have said about him. The fact that I would agree with anything coming out of the Clintons’ mouths is horrifying.
Obama has nothing whatsoever to do with the "Chicago machine", i.e. Daley. Obama passed through Chicago like a ship in the night.
Becoming a socialist/communist nation with no soul...and being taxed into depression.....
I fear for this country, I really do.
EVERYTHING about the prospect of an Obama presidency scares me.
Everything.
That my enlistment isn’t up for another year and he’ll be my Commander-in-Chief.
If it comes to that, then so be it...God is my savior, not the government.
That is because 90% of Americans ask:
“What difference does it make if Obama’s friend is a ‘weatherman’?”
Products of public schools for the past 30 years...
That we ,as patriots, will need to move against the new marxist government leaving all behind. What a shit storm that would be.
“I heard NOBAMA!!! mention building a national service, community organizers, etc and it scared the crap out of me.”
I heard it too - he rolls it out, and nobody seems to be understanding his big plan. He previously called it a national civilian SECURITY force. Doesn’t that make you feel all warm and fuzzy?
Hear,hear.
The chants of "racist" every time we disagree with him.
The despair of most of the public as we watch our country go down the drain.
That's why we have to fight this fight! The doomsayers and McCain haters on FR need to STFU and get to work to defeat this monster who will never allow us to return to greatness!
Don't go wobbly now.......
That will be our only hope/chance.
Beat me to it.
If McCain wins, we get the court for at least a generation. Stevens can’t hold-on for another four years; same for O’Connor. If they go, McCain (hopefully) appoints smart jurists, and the court swings in our favor as follows:
Scalia
Alito
Thomas
Roberts
McCain Nominee #1
McCain Nominee #2
Kennedy
Breyer
Souter
On the other hand, if Obama wins.. ouch. The court probably remains closely-divided.
Scalia
Alito
Thomas
Roberts
Kennedy
Souter
Breyer
Obama Appointee #1
Obama Appointee #2
This is THE issue of the election, as far as I’m concerned. We have a clear shot to control the courts for at least a generation.. and we just might be blowing it. It’d be a tragedy of epic proportions. I’ll crawl across broken glass to vote against it.
I fear that my children will not know what it is like to live without government everpresent in their lives. That their wants and dreams will always have to be held up against what the government or society will allow them to do. That the weight of a bloated government will weigh on them in ways I cannot yet imagine.
—That their insentive to create will replaced by the necessity of enduring the state’s demands to sacrifice.
—That their inborn feeling of “I can do anything I want to do” and its outward expression will be considered socially unacceptable.
—That the desire to be one’s best will be replaced with the fear of “sticking out” or “being noticed.”
—That they won’t know the American sense of life that I knew growing up in the midwest amidst many WWII vet and proud American.
—That the hopes, dreams and sacrifices of so many millions of Americans who preceded us turned to ruin.
—That the grand experiment of self-governance did fail in the end.
—That I will have to witness all of this and feel the pain of this supreme loss.
No, Obama won’t do all of this, at least I don’t think so at this point. But he will give them the foot-in-the-door they have sought for a couple of centuries.
He doesn’t hide anything folks. He preaches the virtue of sacrifice for the “common good.” Part of his success is that he believes in his agenda so deeply that it comes off as “normal” even to many who ought to know better. His past and his associations ought to be enough for anyone to see he intends to take the reigns and jerk this country to the left so hard as to give the unsuspecting, common man existential whiplash.
Obama will bring with him a kind of hell if elected and if we fail to hault their agenda — if we lose then we will lose America as you know it forever.
ThTalk to an older American and ask them what they think of state of the country. Unless you are talking to someone who is pro-socialism/communism there is no way in hell they will tell you we are strong and happy—no way. They are more likely to tell you that they are discouraged and disheartened by what they see. In a way they have never experienced before.
I know this is true because I know many of those true-blue Americans.
The left has robbed the right of its confidence and its clear line-of-sight to self-defense and survival instinct. This is not necessarily anyone’s fault—the left has been doing this to populations literally for centuries.
You are finding it tough to fight right now because of the conditioning you have undergone over the past 30 years, or more. The fruit of the left’s labor is finally starting to bud.
We either beat it down now—or we lose our lives. We won’t die, necessarily but you will never feel as you did before 9-11, before the leftist run schools and media, before the “bailout” robbery, before Obama.
We don’t deserve it, but it may be God’s judgment on dumb Republican primary voters.
No wobbles here. Just trying to remind folks what is at stake.
What scares me most?
That there is only a 50/50 chance I will not put this bumper sticker on my truck:
“Anybody want to hang another Hussein?”
You know maybe the security agencies are afraid to speak out, as they are just appointees.
