This is what happens when you have a liberal democrat running under the Republican banner. But, hey, it’s “compassionate conservatism” led by neocons. God forbid, we have a true Ronald Reagan conservative in the GOP. That might “offend” people.
The DC crowd wins either way in this election.
hold on, it was tied on 9/23 and Palin will get at least half the deficit back that McCain lost with his on-again/ off -again about attending the debate.By being behind, McCain knows he has to be on offense Tuesday night. We’ll know how this will turn out if he mentions Barney Frank more than five times.
This election will go to the one who says they will dish out more freebies to the moochers. I think the USA has gone.Wimpy.. remeber the guy in the old Popeye caretoons...For a hamburger today I will gladly pay you on Wednsday!
We (our politicians) have been bribed with our own borrowed money.
No they are bribing them with our stolen money.
Correction: “’Friday night’s’ VP debates” should of course be Thursday night’s VP debates. Sorry.

I say let Obama make it Bush/McCain and let McCain counter Obama/Frank, especially with this stinking sack of garbage in the closet :
“Now that Fannie Mae is at the epicenter of a financial meltdown that threatens the U.S. economy, some are raising new questions about Frank’s relationship with Herb Moses, who was Fannies assistant director for product initiatives. Moses worked at the government-sponsored enterprise from 1991 to 1998, while Frank was on the House Banking Committee, which had jurisdiction over Fannie.
Both Frank and Moses assured the Wall Street Journal in 1992 that they took pains to avoid any conflicts of interest. Critics, however, remain skeptical.
“Its absolutely a conflict,” said Dan Gainor, vice president of the Business & Media Institute. “He was voting on Fannie Mae at a time when he was involved with a Fannie Mae executive. How is that not germane?”

After what Mark Foley so-called scandal did to GOP in ‘06, it would be surpassingly ironic to turn the tables.
It’s not over. Have faith ya’ll. Plenty of time.
I think McCain has some October surprises up his sleeve.
Don’t you get the message the MSM is trying to send? Obama is going to win every state so don’t even bother to vote, it’s over. The senate is going to go over 65 for Dems so don’t bother voting, Republicans, it’s over. What these poll numbers should do is reenergize us, not demoralize us. That’s exactly their purpose: break our will.
playing nice has not worked for Mccain and will continue not to work for him. He is campaigning against the House, the Senate, the Media and obama.
Needs to appear in every talking head show available also needs to walk in with a laptop, demostrate his proficiency in operating the computer, and bring up every, you tube, video of the dems refusing to rein in Fannie and Freedie, starting from the 1990s, make Doobs, Schumer, Franks, Obama and the Black Caucus famous, as he has promised to do.
He has to go on the offensive did he not learn enough in military school or is he refusing to believe we are at war?
I “hope” McCain has something other than Al Gore and Andrew Cuomo up his sleave. Perhaps, he has Barney Frank stuck up in there too.?
You know as scary as Obama is...his ASSociations...his ideology....the scariest thing is the media. We now have the equivalent of the Soviet Politburo....
When I flipped channels after the debate (watched it on Fox...listened to their analysis...then flipped to PMSNBC to hear what they were saying I couldn’t believe their take on it... I’m use to it but it was like “Baghdad Bob” all over again....Olbermann and Maddow obviously watched something entirely different than what I watched...amazing...
The media is out of control....we need to overthrow them
Electoral “solid” - Obama 171 McCain 158
Keep your eye on the ball.
What is it the Bible says about evil men? I think it’s in Proverbs - The wicked walk on every side when evil men are exalted.
Bawney Fwank IS the bloated, self-indulgent face of Washington. Corruption is so rampant there that it is like a boil that no one will lance, so it will explode on its own eventually. (Don’t worry, though. They’ve put a band aid on Fannie and Freddie, but they still have their straws stuck in there so they can continue to feed on them.)
I don’t know, Russ. I think McCain was hurt badly by this bailout nonsense. 1) It brought the poor economy back to the forefront, and the party in power (White House) gets blamed when times are tough. 2) A large majority of people are against the bailout. Where’s McCain on the issue? He supports it! I initially vowed not to vote for McCain in the spring, then after watching the liberals pull every dirty trick in the book, decided to reluctantly pull the McCain lever.
After this bailout sellout, I’m not sure I can do it. We’re getting socialism either way.
I think McCain has some October surprises up his sleeve.

He’d best start using them.

Yes you are correct. And when what happened in this Socialist Bailout last week, we better fight hard to keep OUR free speech. If we lose our free speech, we lose everything.
What these poll numbers should do is reenergize us, not demoralize us. Thats exactly their purpose: break our will.

They haven’t demoralized me; they’ve made me angry. I WILL VOTE AND I WILL VOTE FOR SARAH PALIN.
