I just don't get it! While today I see increasing calls from this space and Rush's space to urge McCain to name names, McCain got a new ad on his website titled "Week" that is weak to say the very least. He said in the ad with a smile "Democrates blamed Republicans, Republicans blamed the Democrates, but we are the United States of America." No sense of urgency, no sense of fight. Wow, maybe this ad will push him over the top!
I wrote on his website blog that "The country is in a monumental crisis and people are angry. They will not vote for the party that got us into this meltdown no matter how the bailout works out! Therefore McCain needs to make the case over and over that it is the Democrates who got us into this mess!!!"
I pray someone somehow will get this message into his head.

He does have a couple of very weak ads. What is wrong with his people? Is McCain too weak to fight?
Anyone remember the Bush campaign’s? I got so irritated that Bush didn’t go after people and didn’t stand up for himself. And he didn’t go after the media. Well it is A LOT worse this time around. The media and the Dems have become crazy with the need and desire for the White House and McCain softball’s them all to death. I mean come on. But then I remember the Bush campaign’s. Both times he was down in the polls and expected to lose and then by some miracle he won both times. Can anyone say media bias?

I’m sure Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank appreciate such comity and reaching across the aisle to avoid that awful partisan bickering.

Might be time to cut off “newbies” until the election. I think they’re invading.
It’s a fundamental problem with senators: they don’t know how to lead. They are not of leadership DNA. Leadership comes from the executive branch.

If you’re wondering about “vanities” and the general hostility you envoked, let me explain.
FreeRepublic is different than a message board. We post articles and comment on them. Vanities are rarely greeted with a warm welcome unless they are well written and done by a FR member with many years on the forum. Even then, you can expect to get bitch slapped.
My advice to you is shut up and listen. Read and respond, but whatever you do do not expect your comments to be accepted without challenge. There are NO mind numbed robots here.

Something doesn’t add up here: the hostility towards “newbies” and the plea for donations to FR.
It’s a tough crowd for sure. I did exactly what you did in 1998, I showed up and started posting my own stuff. Got my ego bruised and learn up in a hurry.
Now 10 years later I’m a monthly contributor and can not begin to tell you how important this site is to the country and to me personally.
This is where freedom of speech and the truth are honored above all else.
Be glad it is a donation. Posting a negative vanity first is rather uh....well, not too wise.
