At Cornell, Academia’s ‘Inclusiveness’ Again Censors Conservatives

WARNING: THIS COLUMN CONTAINS BAD LANGUAGE

In 1968, 50 student militants at Cornell University, my alma mater, stormed the offices of the Economics Department and took the department chair hostage because he had praised the achievements of Western civilization. The university administration found that the militants had been victims of “institutional racism” and thus spared them appropriate punishment.

A few months later, members of the Afro-American Society (AAS) took control of another campus building in order to put it to AAS use. Then, during the 1969 Parents’ Weekend, up to 100 militants invaded the student union, followed by beatings and death threats. Soon thereafter, firearms and munitions were brought in to assist the militants in their actions.

Not only did the Cornell administration swallow the high building repair costs and refrain from pressing charges, but it also offered the student militants assistance in potential lawsuits filed against them. To make things worse, it permitted the militants to keep their guns and parade them across campus. And to further reward the radicals’ repulsive behavior, the administration granted them, among other things, a black residence hall on the Cornell campus.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yes, it is.

True Marxists and Communists are thoroughly entrenched throughout our culture. They are in positions of great power and influence. Yet....We rarely hear the word Marxism or Communism used.

The biggest offenders of this embargo on the words “Marxists” and “Communist” are Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. If they can't see the threat that Marxism is then they are big fat idiots. If they do see it and refuse to properly identify it, then they are **liars**.

Marxism is our nation's most **serious** threat. Government K-12 schools, the NEA, and our colleges and universities are their most important weapons.

By the way, the words “Marxism” and “Communism” remind me of “You Know Who” in the Harry Potter books. Rush and Hannity are afraid to say the name.

I live down the road from Cornell, the whole city is like this, a bunch of elites. Cornell is land locked so they are in their own little world. Only one real road in and one road out. The slogan is “Ithaca 10 square miles of fanatasy, then reality”

Ahhh yes, I remember well those good old days when the AAS took over Willard hall and then the SDS took over Barton Hall at Cornell.

No kidding, part of my young childhood was at 122 Auburn Street. Both of my grandparents were professors at Big Red. My oldest is a senior there right now.
