The best post of the day. We are dealing with so many emergencies and crises at once. Being so leftist and Soprano minded, the Dims have little capacity for historically honorable acts to be revered in the future. Too many of us are Soprano-minded. I knew it was a bad thing when the show proved to popular, playing to the instincts of so many...the show has been too inspirational to some of our politicians. Bush should fire Bernanke and Paulson both. Bernanke has constantly been credited with being the expert on the Depression...he has used the knowlege brilliantly with the concomitant imposition of Sarbanes-Oxley, the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act during the Clinton years, and the Greenspan originated credit derivative monster to effectively engineer the largest depression in world history with no hope of reversal of the events now in place. We are past the point of no return. The United States, the Fed Reserve have no resources to stop the unwinding of the credit derivatives, and it is unwinding fast now. The joy of a Congressional bailout will prove short-lived.

If you’ve never read Sowell’s “Vision of the Anointed” go and get a copy- trade paperback if your library doesn’t have it. It nails the methodology that is being employed to suck us into this monstrosity of a bailout.
