So are you saying that even if the final vote gives McCain over 270 EV, the individual electors will not abide by the will of the people and give their vote(s) to Obama?

No one can force electors to be faithless electors. If the election is close, Democrats will do what they did in 2000. If McCain really wants to be president instead of having 15 more minutes of fame before he returns to Arizona for good, then he’ll have an army of lawyers ready to match Obama’s on every recount battle. But Obama the “community organizer” may have an edge there, yes.

You see, this is how democrats win

Last time I checked they don't win often, and when they do it's by nominating a Southern governor, LOL!

This fear gets voiced every election. It’s really not going to happen. The electors will vote like they are supposed to vote.

I disagree. The bloated megacities are already voting for him, and people outside of them don’t care.

The thugs who would riot live in the megacities, and thus by definition live their lives within a three block radius. So all they’ll trash are their own neighborhoods, which are already dumps.

I don’t think there will be any serious riots beyond small handfuls of idiots acting like idiots, and I hope no innocents get caught up like in LA, but quite honestly I could care less if the nonproductive gutters of society burn, because just maybe enough people would see the juvenile behavior to put a stop to forcibly subsidizing noncontributing members of society by stealing from those who get up before noon.

I agree with you that Obama is a communist, and as President might try to become a dictator. Whether he would succeed or not is another matter. The good people of America might possibly find their own ways of expressing their displeasure.

The problem is the Dem party has been alinskified. Alinskification has proceeded ever since an accolyte was first lady in 1993 and has accelerated once an Alinsky instructor was made the standard bearer. The only thing that matters is power and winning, and they will do anything to win and gain power. Scarily, they will do anything once in power to retain it, too.

Being a freeper will be grounds for reeducation.

IT'S ALL ABOUT WINNING! Well, are the Democrats opponents who need to be persuaded, or enemies who need to be crushed and defeated? We conservatives cannot win this election, because we know that John McCain is not a conservative, so even if he wins, we really do not. If blacks want to riot if Obama looses, what's so surprising about that? And if the election is won based on some threats from angry losers, blacks or leftist radicals, then we really don't have a chance stop it.

I suggest a concerted, patient, opposition to the government... by focusing on the issues that effect me directly, my family, my life.

It is hardly worth the effort to pay any attention to their sense of self-importance, especially from the Most Merciful Messiah, Obama. His emptiness is as vast as his ego. Just imagine this kind of personality as President! I'm in California, but I'm preparing for the long winter of discontent ahead. The next President may be the leader of the U.S. But, he's not going to be my leader.

Anyone feeling pressured to vote for Obama, can easily say they are voting for the big cry baby, then in the voting booth vote for someone else, hopefully McCain. They call it a secret ballot for a reason.

The electoral votes are cast in the states and the results sent to the Senate. VP Cheney will be in charge of opening the certificates and counting the votes. The Congressional Black Caucus won't be able to intimidate Cheney. (The Senate Black Caucus has only one member.)

There is more danger, if the outcome is extremely close in terms of electoral votes, of individual electors being blackmailed before they vote, as the 'Rats talked of trying to do in 2000. That's not likely to work.

We can easily fight back against the intimidation. Spread the KMOV broadcast to everyone you know, call your Representatives on Monday and alert them and demand action immediately. Call The Missouri Bar in Jefferson City and voice protest against the threat of prosecution against free speech and abuse of power. Call in to Rush, Hannity, Levin et al. Make sure they hammer away at this unbelievable threat to our civil liberties.

Let everyone you know that this is the type of mindset that a Stalinist like Obama will surround himself with. These are the ones who are pulling his puppet strings.

Just like their candidate, these 1984ers will back down once the spotlight of criticism exposes them for the slime they truly are.

I do not know your motives, Brown Dirt Cowboy, but as far as the Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) goes I've seem them do the meanest things from the time that they were just street rabble to today when they have a "political" party.

Examples of both.

It's an old trick but if it's another close election it might work this time.

Bob Beckel backed blackmailing bid. 2000 Electoral College delegates not bound by law to vote for the Repulican were open to blackmail if Rat stalwarts could find dirt and the Rats looked real hard for enough dirt.

Here

According to Karenna Gore her father personally stopped efforts of his people to stir up race riots during the 2000 election dispute. David Frums Diary, NOV. 19, 2002: GORE SPEAKS.

My own experience and memories. As for threats of violence it's no different that the 1960s. The Left will no doubt stir up as much hatred and violence as possible -- one difference though is this time they have millions and millions of ILLEGAL aliens among whom are IMO tens of thousands just looking for an excuse.

Seriously, all, keep up with local news and above all look for alternate routes around town, as necessary. I remember some Reginald Denny-type beatings of commuters in Cincinnati where I was living at the time.
