Inside Today's Bulletin Poll: One-Fifth Of Clinton Voters Are Now Backing McCain By John P. Connolly, The Bulletin 09/24/2008

A recent telephone poll of voters in key states around the country shows that Sen. John McCain is pulling down an important section of voters: supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton.

The poll was taken Sept. 18 and 19, by ccAdvertising, a communications corporation that specializes in providing artificially intelligent personalized telephone surveys to commercial, political, congressional and nonprofit clients. It surveyed 10,000 in each of 13 states, simulating head-to-head elections between Sen. Barack Obama and Mr. McCain.

The survey, conducted by telephone, showed that more than 20 percent of voters who originally planned on voting for Mrs. Clinton are now supporting Mr. McCain - one-fifth of a constituency critical to Mr.. Obama's campaign.

Pennsylvania, where Hillary Clinton won 85 delegates in the Democratic primaries, showed over 35 percent of voters polled were originally Clinton supporters. An opinion widely accepted is that Mr. McCain selected Gov. Sarah Palin to shake up his campaign and reach out to supporters of Mrs. Clinton who felt jilted by Mr. Obama. Last week, a major Clinton donor and member of the Democratic National Committee Lynn Forester de Rothschild endorsed Mr. McCain. In an interview with CNN, Mrs. Rothschild called Mr. Obama "elitist."

This whole election process and economic mess has got to be the biggest-—— N-I-G-H-T-W-A-R-E—— that we’ve lived thru, other than 9-11, Pearl Harbor, the Great Depression, the pandemic virus of 1918, WWI, WWII, Nam, Iraq.

I am scared. This election is ugly. The forces behind the “left” are scary. The babyboomers have got to go out in mass come election day and save our country. The depression and predepression babies must turn out in mass or else we will never recognize our county again.

I really don’t think people born before 1960 are dumb enough to fall for the marxist/left’s take over.

I know a lot of Hillary supporters and we are all backing McCain and would never back obama even if Hillary was put on as his vp ... we boomers and great depression survivors must make it our patriotic duty to vote for McCain/Palin.

God save America !!!!!

It was Republicans who extended her fight in the primaries. She would have been dead duck in Texas if it weren’t for Republicans. So some Hillary supporters are returning the favor and dreading the thought of voting for Obama.
